The main question regarding A57 is about EVF! Is it form A77 or better?

I have often wondered why Zeiss doesn’t offer the same MF lenses for the A-mount as it does for Canon and Nikon and others.
Is it because they (Zeiss) don’t want to, or is it because Sony doesn’t want them to?

Yes, it does seem strange that Sony’s marketing folks aren’t insisting on a MP increase to help in the advertising “bigger, better, new and improved” drive for higher sales volumes. What’s wrong with the 24mm Zeiss for E-Mount? I got one two weeks ago and absolutely love it! And Kurt Munger already says it’s on par if not better than the 24mm for A-Mount – which really is a top notch lens.

And just out of curiosity, what’s a Hologon?

I live in Austria and here it’s correct like this:

And as far as aperture is concerned, a point is also correct, like f/1.8.

Hmm.. what could the pancake be? I mean, they won’t make another 16mm or 24mm lens (well, it may be a 24mm, but then there’s no point buying it – it’s probably slower and worse than the Zeiss one), and 35mm should be supplied by the “big aperture prime”, so maybe a 40 or 60mm?

As I’ve said before, ’5′ will be the flagship compact SLT and will have more bells and whistles than the ’3′ or ’6′ series. Things like optional grip, faster fps, dual control dials. 3 is the budget 5 and 6 is the budget 7. A note about 16000 ISO – didn’t the a55 go up [...]

If 57 is now weather proof – so body will be smaller – may be same size as A580. And battery must be smaller too

The suggestion that the A57 will be able to use the battery grip from the A77 seems outlandish to me, unless Sony have decided to carry out some major changes to their model number structure. I can only assume that either the source is not to be trusted, so should be removed from SAR’s trusted [...]

i find it useful! in fact there is no battery grip from sony so this is an welcome part. i will buy one.
