@clyde so "First players to make excellent IQ 10mm f2.8, 20mm f2, 30mm f1.4, 45mm f1.0, 60mm f1.2, 90mm f2.0… WINS"
But
"Personally, I wouldn’t want it native."

sounds like you are just not sure what you want in the mirrorless world (at least not yet), also contrast-detect AF eliminates front/back focus problems so you should be able to AF with ultra fast primes. Yes you can still focus on the wrong point but people are able to use AF even with the canon 85mm 1.2.

I almost think we need 3 well thought out sets of primes, High IQ set, Small set, and fast set, filling all the normal spots - ultra wide, wide, normal, short or mid telephoto.
if the sigma has great IQ (no mtf yet on there website) they will fill the wide/normal gap nicely.

Personally, I wouldn't want it native. I certainly wouldn't trust any AF system to accurately hit precise focus at f1.2. Too many mirrorless cameras coming to lock into a native lens collection. I love this era of adapters, allowing me to build a glass collection and move it around to different cameras that come and go.

With peaking, and EVF, the frills of OSS and AF just don't matter to me at all. And knowing that I can purchase one native lens to accomplish that is satisfying enough. One native auto everything zoomy zoom is enough. The rest of my collection can migrate alongside camera evolution.

Mike Kobal said he really liked using the 30mm and not for macro. So, I think, that is not all it is good for.

"I really liked the 30mm macro as a standard lens, very high resolution, no distortions, no AF hunting and virtually silent. It also helped maintaining a comfortable distance to my subjects."
