I got many rumors the last 48 hours and here is a short roundup of non A or E-mount camera rumors. Thanks to all sources for sharing the info!
1) On top you see the Honami Z1 smartphone with Sony G lens.
2) The new Action camera name is AS30 and has NFC and GPS
3) There will be a PXW-Z100 4k xavc xdcam for 6500€ Excl taxes for europe

The QX lens cameras will be announce tomorrow (Sept 4) at 4pm London time! Be sure to be online by that hour on SAR!

(SR5) UPDATED: New QX lenscamera pictures! Announcement on September 4 at 4pm London time!

After Tomorrow, on September 4 at 4pm London time (yes “pm” and not “am”!) Sony will announce the new QX Lens Cameras! You absolutely have to follow the event live on SonyAlphaRumors! I will keep you updated with all first tests, news and preorder links.

And here are some more new images leaked via a Korean source that attached some inappropriate anti-Japanese text on the images (why the heck he did it we don’t know). On these images you see the magnetic plate. You also have a picture of a guy with perfectly styled hair (lol) that uses the lens separated from the camera.

UPDATE: One of my sources said there will be special covers for the most popular smartphones (Thanks Ice..!). They will allow to mount the lens without the bracket. Indeed one of the leaked pictures shows you the cover on a Sony Honami smartphone:

via Photorumors.

Reminder:

1) The name of these cameras is actually “Smart Shot“. It’s a mix between Smart-phone and Cyber-Shot.

2) The SmartShot lenses have in lens stabilization!

3) Again, it’s compatible with all Android and iOS devices via Playmemories APP (the new version will come out soon. My sources tested the BETA version). Connection via Wi-Fi/NFC

4) Videos in HD video 1080/30p, format MP4. Can be recorded with low noise even in dark places.

5) The captured image is saved automatically in both the smartphone and memory in the camera.

6) You can control zoom, exposure, white balance, and focus on your mobile device.

7) The QX10 has the same 1/2,3 inch 18 megapixel CMOS sensor and  f/3,3-5.9 lens as the Sony WX150 ($400 on Amazon). WIll be priced at $250.

8) The QX100  costs $450. That is $300 less than the price of the RX100MII camera ($748 here at Amazon) that features the same sensor and lens! Great pricing! You can get the best compact camera yet on market for $300 less.

(SR5) Zeiss FE 55mm f/1.8 to be announced too!

This is the leaked Zeiss 35mm FF NEX lens. But there will be another 55mm prime too!

I am back with rumors from my old long time sources! These source told me months ago a Zeiss 35mm f/2.8 Full Frame E-mount lens would be released. And on Saturday the manual of these lens has been leaked (article here). The lens design can be seen on top of this post. Now, the same sources also said a new 55mm f/1.8 FE Zeiss lens will come! No word on pricing yet. I just hope they did it f/1.8 instead of f/1.4 to keep pricing low :)

The Sony Germany site that leaked the Zeiss 35mm pancake lens removed the content. Just a reminder, the Zeiss pancake text clearly stated this:

The Sonnar T FE 35mm F2.8 ZA is compatible with the range of a 35mm format image sensor. The other lenses are compatible with the range of an APS-C  sized image sensor. A camera equipped with a 35mm format image sensor can be set to shoot at APS-C size. For details on how to set your camera, refer to its instruction manual.

Note on previous A7000 fake image: The site that sent me the wrong picture didn’t send me the NEX-FF or other rumors. So this is the only fake you saw on SAR. Needless to say that sites that post or send fakes for purpose will no more linked on SAR.

SR5 rumor roundup. And warning of fakes (I know who makes them).

Finally I busted who keeps sending wrong info to rumor sites and on forums (See fake A7000 pic). I will not mention the site  to not make him any publicity. The site is well known and I am surprised to see them work that actively on fake images. I want to thank SAR readers and my long time trusted sources for finding the source that sent and posted wrong info on different forums and sites. So it’s time to make a roundup of what’s true. And in future you may understand that I have to triple check rumors to avoid exactly these kind of wrong rumors! It’s also a lesson for me that I do not have to trust these kind of people.

So what’s correct? What’s SR5 now?
1) NEX-FF Zeiss 35mm f/2.8 Full Frame E-mount lens (article here)
2) NEX-FF camera to come (more about that soon via trusted sources)
3) A-mount mirrorless and more E-mount DSLR shaped (ILCE) cameras to hit market in early 2014.

More SR5 rumors to come soon….

Again: My apologies to all readers for posting a false rumor for 2 hours. I hope you at least appreciate my effort to discover the authenticity and correct a rumor when it’s wrong. A special thanks goes to jwdoy and Vlad3D for their amazing help on discovering the fake A7000 image! You are my heroes today.

P.S.: Somebody asked me why I posted the fake A7000 image with SR5 value before my trusted sources confirmed it. Reason is easy, I trusted that guy from this site. Didn’t think he could do this.

BUSTED! Fake First picture of the A7000 semi pro camera :)

UPDATE: After the fake Zeiss 85mm image from Xitek we now got a next fake A7000 semi pro camera image. A well-known site made this fake and shared it. But sadly for them, SAR readers quickly discovered it’s a fake. The site did this intentionally, that’s why the site will no more be seen as trusted sources (and no more linked on SAR).

(SR5) UPDATED: There is a Sony camera to come…also for Nikon and Canon lens owners!

Not only “pure” Sony camera and lens owners should follow SonyAlphaRumors the next days. Sony will launch an extraordinary new E-mount camera featuring a new tech: It has a sort of  [shoplink 18446 ebay]Contax AX (here one Bay)[/shoplink] focusing system! You see it at work on the video on top. I don’t know yet the very details of the Sony solution but the sensor can move on the Z-axis. This has been done to fully support non Sony lenses. It’s the trojan hourse from Sony to make it easy for Canon and Nikon lens owners to switch over to Sony. I am waiting for the exact details on tech from my Sony sources (will get them soon). Nikon, Canon user (but obviously also Pentax and so on) will be very tempted to buy this camera!

UPDATE: This is a report from a source that tested the camera:

The sensor is mount on a tray that slide in Z direction. It allows approximately 18mm of focus adjustment. As actuator you have  strong piezoelectric servo, this make for rapid movement back-forth if selected that option.

Meantime: How the Contax AX AF works:
The Contax AX unique autofocus system works with manual focus lenses by moving the film plane inside the camera. A side benefit of this arrangement is that it allowed the AX to feature a macro mode which worked much like a built-in 10 mm extension tube, allowing for a magnification ratio higher than 1:1 without the use of bellows or extension tubes (Source: Wikipedia Contax). Link to [shoplink 18446 ebay]Contax AX auctions on eBay (Click here)[/shoplink].

Stay tuned, I will get details and pics of the new camera soon!
