Collecting: Your fullframe lens wishlist!

Dear readers! It’s time for a new poll! 2012 will be the year of full frame and many here would like to know what kind of full frame lens you need. Feel free to comment this post with your lens suggestions.
I will also take into account the suggestions you wrote on yesterdays post about the upcoming 500mm f/4.0 lens.
Just a reminder: The first SLT full frame camera will be announced in Spring 2012 and there will be two more cameras within the year 2012. The first camera will be the A9x with 24 mega-pixels and be announced along a couple of new FF lenses. The second camera will feature a 36 Megapixel sensor. The third model will be something completely unexpected and new.

add SSM to 135 STF 2.8[4.5]
before i can purchase another premium lens
add SSM to all Zeiss and G lens + weather sealing.
this does not justify spending large amount of cash, only to find out it has fungus/molds in it.

Alexander
7 months ago |As Sony has proven to be capable of designing very good primes for APS-C having both a good sharpness along the whole focusing range within the whole frame and very smooth bokeh, I guess they are capable of producing 1.2/50 G.

7 months ago |I have a simple wish list,
50mm f1.4 w/SSM, or even SAM on the cheap, just a little quieter please?
24-105mm f2 SSM
70-300 f4 SSM or SAM (fast and quieter focusing compared to existing) and equal or lighter weight than existing 70-300 if possible.
update the 28-75 f2.8 with SSM for video, and some speed, it’s pretty fast as it is though…
It would also be nice to see a 28-300 SAM that is compact like the 18-200 from Nikon.

7 months ago |Might be impossible to make 24-105 f/2 and 70-300 f/4 that is cheaper and lighter than 4.5-5.6 one.

7 months ago |Only need 3/4 lenses to consider my collection as complete:
All full frame prime:
12mm or 14mm f/2.8 SSM super wide
35mm SSM (any f under 1.7)
50mm SSM (any f under 1.7)
update CZ 85 f/1.4 to SSM

7 months ago |I wish Sony to release STF linup with AF.
C’mon, Sony, your SLT cameras have contrast AF already. You just should place the drive into the lens, and STF will be able to autofocus!
Also, ithink, that 135 is not usable focal length, and i think, 85 and 58mm primes will be great.
kevin
7 months ago |The current SLT cameras do not have contrast-detect AF, but the a560 and a580 do. Autofocusing STF lenses make a lot more sense for NEX cameras, where everything is CD-AF and the APS-C sized sensor would allow for a smaller, more affordable lens, too. I’ve been crying for a 58mm f/1.2 [t/2] for a long time!
Slavin
7 months ago |Yes, almost forgot. The 50-150/2.8 (for full frame, not DT!) will be great for general-purpose use. Maybe 55-135/2.8, maybe 50-200/4.0 – shortly, tele-lens, that starts from 50mm. And 35mm prime – maybe 35/1.8 CZ? It should have good close-up capabilities to compete with 28mm Sigma, witch has 1:3 macro.
That’s all, other Sony/Minolta’s lenses are perfect =)

7 months ago |I hope to see more additions in the prime lens lineup, especially the teleprime range. The Minolta 200f2.8G and 300f4G are sorely missed. I would love to see:
50 f1.2
100 f2
200 f2.8
300 f4
G-grade lenses are good enough for me, Zeiss will be a bonus but defeats the purpose if its gonna drive the price up too high.
And i feel that the up and coming 500f4G/Z is uncalled for. That’s a compromise of the 400G and 600G whose focal length has a more defined purpose and demand
And Sony should have kept the 500mm reflex for casual hobbyists who want that extra reach at a budget (Your 500G is not gonna be cheap anyway..)

7 months ago |What I really would like to see is:
1) A modern (!) Zeiss 35mm design with SSM, f/2.0 with good macro, or f/1.4.
2) A modern (!) Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 design with SSM
3) An update of the amazing Zeiss 85mm f/1.4: I need it with SSM and more importantly: with APO, would easily pay 2k+ €uro for it.

7 months ago |SSM for all new Zeiss glass, and update the 85 and 135 ZA primes with SSM.
I’d like to see a new fast prime in the 32-36mm range.
Updated 50mm f1.4, and reasonably priced 100mm tele prime at f1.8 or f2.
Again, these do not have to be Zeiss or G glass. I rather have a 36mm that is the size of the 50mm rather than the current 35mm 1.4. But at the same time, please make more options than “Easy Choice” lenses.
Many people want lenses with a better build than the “Easy Choice” line.
And a better idea yet, make FF NEX camera and lenses!

7 months ago |My wish-list, ordered by how likely I am to buy them if they existed:
1) 12-24/2.8 SSM (G or Zeiss) – wider and less overlap with current Zeiss 16-35 and Zeiss 24-70;
2) 90..150 2.8 macro with SSM and internal focusing;
3) 150-300/4 SSM tele (preferably weather sealed);
4) 85/1.4 Zeiss with SSM;
5) assorted primes which did not make it from Minolta system (35/2, 100/2, 200/2.8 Macro etc).
As for much discussed 100/2.8 SoftFocus – I have one but it is rarely seeing any use after I got 70-200SSM.

3 months ago |There is definetely the need of (super) wide angles and a really good standard zoom.
14/3.5 or even 4.0 (no need for 2.8, but less weight and should have better IQ especially in the corners). Such lens could in my opinion replace the rather bad 16-35 on FF.
24-120/4
ALL manual Zeiss primes, especially:
21/2.8 Distagon as a replacement of the bad 20/2.8 Sony
100/2 macro Planar – this one could make sense in SSM variant as a perfect portrait lens as well.
