For the very first time in USA the NEX-6 (body and kit) can be found in Stock for the regular price at Samys (Click here). Before Samys also Buydig (Click here) had some camera in Stock but you had to pay a $50 extra.
P.S.: The super discounted NEX-5n remains the most sold mirrorless camera (ranking here). European and Asian readers can find many of them in Stock on eBay (Click here).

7 months ago |Eh, the Samys website says “Availability: New product pre-order. Orders will ship in the priority they are received. An authorization will be processed upon placing this order, however you will not be charged until the product is shipped.”
So either they sold what they had already or they never actually had it in stock.

7 months ago |If you have an EDU account with Sony, you can save 10% and get a free case (note you still need to pay sales tax) but its still cheaper than Amazon and it gave me a ship date of 11/11. This is for the US btw, Sony has 10% off most products in Nov for EDU accounts, all you need is a school email to sign up.

7 months ago |Hmm… I placed an order with Samy’s and did not get my shipping confirm, I should get a confirmation before 1PM PST. I’ll report back if I get a ship confirmation today.

7 months ago |Actually, Samys just says they will process orders placed by 1pm PST on the same day. They explicitly say this doesn’t mean it will be shipped on the same day (and thus no shipping confirmation).
I’d expect to see shipping confirmations tomorrow at the earliest.

7 months ago |Well looks like I got my shipping confirmation already so I guess I was wrong about that. It remains to be seen if they’ll actually get the packages to FedEx today, though. I still suspect not. I did overnight shipping. I’m fully expecting to see this on my doorstep on Wednesday.

7 months ago |I called my local Samys and put down a $100 deposit for an order. The Samys rep said that he could order directly from the warehouse and could save me shipping. I’m supposed to pick it up on the November 7.

7 months ago |I got my shipping confirm! I even got them to through in the free camera bag and memory card. I live in WA, ships from CA, I’ll get it thursday according to Fedex. Thanks admin, I’ve been camping out on this site for U.S availability since pre-orders were originally announced (I canceled my adorama pre-order)

Any ideas on a compact bounce flash for the NEX 6. I know the built in flash can also be pointed up but an external flash with its own batteries would be nice.
