Good news! Sony announcement soon…and NEX-7 bodies finally shiping in USA. (109 posts)

    HOT: The last few hours rumors are coming in like raindrops. Soon Sony will announce new SLT stuff. Stay tuned!

    Meanwhile I got more than twenty emails from USA readers saying that their NEX-7 body preorder from August/October/November/December and January(!) have been shipped by Amazon or Bhphoto! The screenshot on top shows a shipped January BHphoto order.

    Teh Sony NEX-7 body is already in Stock in european stores like Amazon Germany (Click here), Sony Germany (Click here), Sony France (Click here), Sony Italy (Click here), Sony Netherland (Click here), Sony Sweden (Click here), Sony Switzerland (Click here).

    Lets just hope for something better than my A900 :-) .
    Better AF and better ISO handling. 24 or 36 Mpix both will do.

    My dream is still for a hybrid Nex SLT camera, such that the SLT can be removed.
    But if Sony wants to push SLT they need to at least match Nikon on the ISO handling.

    A Full Frame NEX 7 would be awesome. I’d like to see both the 24MP and 36MP Full Frame sensors offered in Mirrorless cameras like the NEX 7!

    Isn’t a testament to how awesome the a900 is when you only ask for better AF and ISO? I agree with you too, that’s all I want, just better performance in those two areas. I still love my a900 though.

    You can just buy a Nex with the LA-EA2 SLT adapter.
    You’ll get acces to all A-mount lenses with phase detection AF.

    In fact, I don’t understand why anybody would buy the A77 ??

    The Nex-7 has all the same features in a smaller-lighter package, + it can also use almost every lenses ever produced, and get rid of the translucent mirror for an extra 1/2stop of light and increased sharpness.

    I just hope the full frames they come up with have good iso performance up to 800. I hardly ever go above 200 anyway but in the rare case it would be nice.

    also i would like to see compact flash and an xqd slots.

    We need a optimized performant A77 firmware to maximize the hardware.
    No new SLT just better firmware.

    Why would anybody buy the A77 ? Because of the awesome AF speed for example and the beautiful images the 24MP sensor delivers.
    Just the slide show effect in 8fps has to be fixed, for the rest I love it. And ISO is also good, better than A550 for sure.
