Here is the naked NEX-3!

Lensrentals (Click here) undressed the Sony NEX-3 to see how it looks inside: “I’m generally not a Sony fan, but it’s amazing how much Sony has simplified the design of this camera – not just compared to SLRs, but even to other mirrorless cameras. And props to them for doing a lot of little things that cost money but probably make the camera better and more reliable: heavy electronic shielding, gluing down the flex clamps, using copper shields instead of aluminum, etc.”
It’s good to know that Sony is using top engineering to build their own cameras! Thanks Lensrentals for that nice article!

Please stick it up on here with an SR1 or something. If anyone derides you if it doesn’t come true because they don’t understand the meaning of the word ‘rumour’, I will personally hunt them down, poke their eyes out with a stick & replace their brain with that of a squirrel for higher intelligence.

2 years ago |NEX F3 no news about that ? Or a NEX with fixed lens ?
ageha
2 years ago |That makes as much sense as an A-mount Alpha with a fixed lens.

2 years ago |Of course but Sony wouldn’t call it a “NEX”.
Carl
2 years ago |Well, Sony calls the NEX an Alpha, so you never know. Most likely such a camera would be the Cyber-shot flagship model.

2 years ago |How about some a99 news.
Q
2 years ago |Why is there a constant stream of piss posts wanting information on the A99 in topics about NEX news, and then posts wanting information on a “NEX7N” in A99 posts?
Seriously, anyone in the game for either camera should be out shooting whilst waiting patiently for the official release.

2 years ago |To all the technical people, please, look into the Smart Accessory Terminal on top, and see if it can be hacked.
It would be great if one could figure out a way to attach a hotshoe terminal, wireless flash triggers and external stereo microphone-in jack for the NEX 3, 5, C3 and 5N this way. It’s already a huge user base, and as Sony never came out with these products, any 3rd party release would be a sure hit.

2 years ago |Why does every tester on non-Sony sites have to repeat the mantra: “I’m generally not a Sony fan, but …”?
If they get their hands on an Olympus or a Pentax, they don’t feel an urge to make excuses, so why is it that they have this fear of saying something nice about Sony without first saying that their general feelings toward Sony are of a negative nature?
