Some people confuse the price of a product with its value of use!
In economy the price of any product depends on the price of the materials and the price of the work hours necessary for its production. From this point of
view RX1 (like Leica) is nothing more than an expensive jewel for exhibitionists!!!

Overpriced because no matter how much you might like the lens on it, you cat change it. It is a high end point and shoot with a fixed lens. Allow the lenses to be changed, even if so new lens mount and I could see it being worth the price, but I don’t believe that there is a single perfect lens for all things.

It is not overpriced. It is a miniature full frame camera with an expensive 35mm f2.0 lens. Do the math. It is not a DSLR, so you can’t compare it to anything else. The closest range finder with such a lens I can think of is made by Leica at 6K body and 3k for manual focus lens. If Sony made rx1 with 50mm and 85mm lens version you could all three for that price.

Could you please indicate why it is too expensive?

It offers most of the features of DSLR/SLT FF including an excellent 35/2 Zeiss lens.

I assume the price being quite reasonable.
