2 years ago |Is this a good deal? Or should I wait for Photokina later this month to see whats unveiled there? I think I’ve pretty much decided on a Nex but if a Nex-7 pops out in a few weeks I would rather wait for that.

2 years ago |Never mind. B&H just jacked up the prices by $150. Before when this article was first posted the price for the Nex-5 dual lens kit was $949.98 before discount and $799.98 after $150 discount.
Now it’s showing original price is $1,099.98 and $949.98 after $150 discount. A nice $150 markup! What shysters. Guess thats one store I’ll remember never to buy from.

2 years ago |The price on B&H has got to be a mistake: it’s the same price as a kit and buying the other lens separate! In any case, just to be sure, I just ordered the dual lens kit from Adorama (though they don’t have it in stock yet).

2 years ago |The other places haven’t raised the price yet. It seems BH Photo did so because they can. Supply is short and they are one of the few to have it in stock. By the way, I purchased the NEX-5 kit with the zoom lens at regular price. Luckily, I found a brand new 16mm lens for about 40% of the list price. The seller must not have known what they had in their hands.
