Looking at those pics on Flickr, it seems that corner sharpness is indeed quite bad on a NEX… Like MC stated, don’t go for it.

i think the Slr Magic 35mm 1.4 for $350 would be a better deal to match 35mm 1.8 IQ.

Kevin has stated the truth already. It is in fact a cheapo CCTV lens which can barely cover the APS-C sensor. The focal plane is not flat enough that it can’t get a sharp enough image across the frame until you shrink the aperture to f/11 or smaller. Some copy may not be good as it can’t focus correctly on certain distance. The only merit is that the center image quality is relative good and is faithful to the original color. It may be a good toy for $25 USD with adapter. But never try to have one for $189. You are fool if you get one.
The hood is made by plastic and the letter on the lens is made by printing. Don’t go for it.

I am seriously considering this. How do you guys think would it compare to Sony E 35 f1.8 OSS in terms of optical performance only disregarding aspects like AF and price?
