In theory yes, but in reality 14 bit is only marketing stuff because C-MOS sensors are noisy. They have some level of noise reduction always on even in RAW. I bet 2 last bits of 14bit RAW contain white noise.

Do you own mobile with touch screen? It is similar move like OVF to EVF. You can keep A900 for rare situation where EVF is not the best option. But I believe if you try A99(A77) for a month EVF is not issue anymore.

Why not 70-300G then?

I’m waiting for a 200mm/2.8 lens for my A77. I use ISO50-400 only. Above ISO400 resolution is lost because of noise. If I do not need high resolution I use cheap zoom (55-200/4-5.6). I’m waiting for new 70-200/2.8G. I think the current one is not sharp enough at 200mm.

16-50 f/2.8 is SSM not SAM. I’m not interested in anything above F2.8.

Touch screen is not bad thing if implemented well. Introduction of touch screen should not mean less hardware buttons in pro level camera. No, you will pay more for much better ability to take a good shot. Camera is not just a sensor.

24Mpx A9X rumored spec seems like perfect sports and reportage camera. D600 will no way be in this category. I think Nikon is not so stupid to make dirty cheap FF and undercut their baseline of higher margin bodies. I guess D600 for $1500 would have some functions crippled in order to discourage pro users. I think it would harm more Canon 5DMkII sales than A99 sales.

Mother nature shows us how to do it. Similar manner our retina works having dedicated BW sensible rod cells which can detect single photon. I think in the future will see more of this design as number of pixels will grow. It is the way to increase resolution while keeping noise down.

After while I’m OK with EVF. Most of the time I like it more then OVF. Only issue I found is related to using it in bright sunny day while wearing glasses. I can not put my glasses off. Strong ambient light coming into viewfinder around my glasses decreases contrast in viewfinder.

I do not need much new lens models. I need much more money to spend for all their >$2K lenses
