2 years ago |1920×1080 60p ? really?
NEXfive
2 years ago |I doubt Sony will really give the 50/60p to the NEX-5N, since they also want to sell their NEX-7, NEX-VG20 and NEX-FS100. Anyone to bet against firmware limitation?
z
2 years ago |SONY owns AVCHD.. So why not? Even sony P&S like HX9v has it 2.0 too..
By the launch of a77, sony would be the first to implement it on DSLR too. Suck it canon and nikon..
NEXfive
2 years ago |Oh yes, that’s why the NEX-C3 is limited to 720p and why you can’t switch a NEX-5 between 30p and 25p?

2 years ago |Is that a new pancake lens on it????
joe
2 years ago |I wondered about the lens too. perhaps they just adjusted the body so much that it looks like the lens is different? No hint of a rumor of a new pancake coming with this update (and the c3 didn’t have a newer lens).
Eric
2 years ago |I was curious about this too. Looks larger than the 16mm, but smaller than the 30mm Macro. Wonder if it’s just an optical illusion. I’m going to choose to believe they are giving us a surprise $400 30mm f/2 pancake. Delusion can be fun.
NEXfive
2 years ago |No, this picture on top that’s exactly how my SEL-16F28 looks on my NEX-5: One third is the camera’s E-Mount and the other two thirds are the pancake.
BTW they’d better improved the weak NEX-5′s tripod mount.

2 years ago |same af speed of GH2?
Lol gh2 is 1 year old…. couldn’t you do better sony?
dac38
2 years ago |No They cant .. Bigger Sensor, Bigger lenses and more area to capture for contrast detection. If Sony Matches GH2 its shame on GH2 to be so slow even with a punier sensor and punier lenses.

2 years ago |The picture on the right, is that a touch screen? Admin, can you confirm?
Wishmaster
2 years ago |Don’t think it’s touchscreen, looks like standard NEX UI.
Frosti7
2 years ago |the GH2 UI looks same as G1 as well,
good point saiman, it looks like the woman touching the screen
Wishmaster
2 years ago |NEX-7 is rumoured to have a touchscreen but there wasn’t any indication that 5N will have it too.
For me it looks like someone is pointing something on the screen

2 years ago |I wonder why they weren’t shooting with the NEX-7 as well? Perhaps, even though the NEX-7 is expected to be announced on the same day as the A65/A77 and NEX-5N, it is not quite as far along in its development?

2 years ago |I don’t see the different of this and the NEX-5 (I meant this might have been only a NEX-5)
Jennzhen
2 years ago |yes, looks quite like a NEX-5
Wishmaster
2 years ago |It’s not NEX-5, look at the top plate. It is slightly different than the one on the NEX-5.
Such a small difference is what bothers me the most, minor changes BUT it will be compatible with EVF
I’m not liking it:P

2 years ago |If the differences in body shape and design between NEX-5 and NEX-5N are small is because the previous model was successful right? Remember the high number of sales of NEX-5 over NEX-3 in Asia. Maybe they want to secure the same high number of sales with a new sensor, more options within the UI, and EVF compatibility.
Canon is another maker that likes to provide small improvements over each model…And they get money from that.
Wishmaster
2 years ago |All DSLR’s look the same, and that is why I don’t like DSLR’s(size is the second reason).
And you’re right when you say that they want to secure the numbers(although I think that with EVF it won’t be much cheaper than NEX-7, which will hurt it sales), it almost seems like they want to keep the unique NEX-5 look to it, and I know I’ll sound like a broken record but still can’t understand sonys decision of not allowing EVF for old cameras(unless the rumours are wrong).

2 years ago |No, the playback button has moved, the wheel does not have a flash symbol on it’s right any more (first posted picture here) and the symbols on the display look differently to anything possible on my NEX-5. A quite decent mock up or a NEX-5N.
Jaye
2 years ago |I don’t know why these camera makers make these unrealistic high ISO numbers. The only camera that can realistically be useable at these high ISOs is the Nikon D3S and to some degree the D3 and D700. All other brands are just fakers.

2 years ago |But have to say that even TX100v has AVCHD2

2 years ago |Hi Andrea, im sorry to bother u but is the af Speed on nex 7 on par with the nex 5n??
Van
2 years ago |Good to see ISO 100, should boost the available DR closer to what the sensor is capable of vs. the C3. I’m still wondering what the max shutter speed will be on the NEX-7 and if any of the new Sonys will have square aspect ratio (and hopefully 5:4) for those of us who prefer framing at the time of shot rather than cropping.
Matt
2 years ago |I could be wrong but aren’t there 2 extra control buttons on the 5N?

2 years ago |Any rumor of AF video tracking in Nex7 A77? dont told me that this feature not available for these both camera >.<
