More pictures of the flash and a NEX-C3 vs NEX-3 comparison.

Also the new flash pictures have been leaked on photobucket and than removed after a few minutes. Sony NEX talk forum managed to copy the pictures. Our friend and SAR readers “Skywalker” created a cool animated NEX-C3 vs NEX-3 size comparison at http://alphacorner.eu/index.php/nowe/nex-c3-vs-nex-3-roznice-miedzypokoleniowe. He also calculated the approximate size of the C3: “Width to height it’s 111,7mm x 61,2mm“.

2 years ago |Well this is just lovely Sony…..
…. NOW WHERE ARE THE SPECS/INFO/PRICING FOR THE CARL ZEISS PRIME????????

2 years ago |now that we have 3 nex cameras, our 3 e-mount lenses each can be mounted on a different camera! lovely.
Almond
2 years ago |This looks lovely and all but we desperately need a 24mm e-mount prime for these cameras!
Almond
2 years ago |Must be a pancake, too!!

2 years ago |There is a picture of that upcoming 24mm lens next to 18-55mm zoom — their sizes are almost the same, 24mm is just a tiny bit smaller.
ew
2 years ago |the upcoming 30mm lens is smaller than that, but still roughly two times bigger than 16mm pancake.

2 years ago |wahh..even smaller than NEX 3.. nice…

2 years ago |Wow, pretty soon Sony will shave down the body so much we’ll be taking pictures with basically just the lens with a couple of buttons on it and a screen at the back. Just like a telescope. Land ho mateys!

2 years ago |Wow this NEX-C3 is so cool! Seems like a hybrid between NEX-5, NEX-3 and E-PL2. Nice work Sony.
So no NEX-C5 I guess if this one features smaller size like NEX-5 with better sensor and full HD. I miss the IR receiver though
I too hope for some lenses. Do not mind if they are not pancakes. 50/1.8 and 35/1.8 (or 24/1.8) is what I crave. Hopefully with at least the IQ of the A-mount equivalents.
I will buy a Zeiss 24/1.7 if it was available. Please do not make it a pancake just an awesome IQ lens. If pancake design is than still viable I would love it.

How is this a hybrid? There’s nothing revolutionary about this. It’s a NEX-3 in a smaller shell? wtf?

2 years ago |by what is seen in the flash image should tilt to bounce, which is very good!!!
If it does I will buy the flash!

2 years ago |I’ve got my fingers crossed for the same thing! If it will allow you to turn it to bounce above and behind you I’ll pick one up on the first day!
Voohoo
2 years ago |I actually like the NEX-3′s edgier, slab-like design more. But I have to say, the smaller profile of the C3 is pretty sweeeeeet — even though the shape looks more “old” and less “hip.”
Nonmem
2 years ago |Somehow the old, more square and more slim body seems better to me.
Voohoo
2 years ago |I totally agree. If the improvements aren’t that great then I think I’ll pick up the original NEX-3 instead. And it should be cheaper so it’s a win-win!

2 years ago |If you can get the NEX-3 @$450 with 18-55mm lens now, will you still wait for this? I’m debating.. o_O

2 years ago |I dislike how the lens seems to be protruding above the top of the C3 body. However, I would be interested in how it feels in hand compared the blockier nex3 body.

2 years ago |The NEX35 is a very attractive design. My only wish would be that the body be made of magnesium metal like the NEX5 is? Or maybe we will see a NEX55 also with the new sensor as seems there will be quite a gap between the price of NEX35 and the NEX7 rumored to be $1300? I hope the NEX44 if there is one will be modified to take a new high resolution optional EVF while leaving the in body EVF to a larger NEX7? Any hints of that being the case?
From the comments however it looks like the existing 16mm/f2.8 will be the only real small prime available for this camera and others 24mm and 30mm reported to be at least 3 times bigger??? Do we really know these sizes or have pictures already been posted?

2 years ago |Sorry my typo, I meant NEX55 not NEX44. The design looks of the new smaller NEX35 looks even more attractive than NEX3 the way you have ingeniously displayed the two for viewers. Almost seems like a reaction to Panys GF2 to go smaller as well as incorporating the design looks for the grip from the just released EPL2? These companies must have a pretty good spy network to know what is coming from the competition as it takes much longer to develop these cameras but apparently not long if only a plastic body easy to change? It used to be a number of years between any significant body changes in cameras for most companies and now they are coming fast and furious after only a year!

2 years ago |When will be next productannouncement from Sony? May?
Have to wait for another 2.5 months before arrive July +.+”

2 years ago |Previous design was far better. This one looks like a cheap point and shoot.
I´ll do as Nonmen and Vohoo…. get the old one cheaper.

2 years ago |Any info about the grip material?
Jav
2 years ago |Awh, man..I hope Sony officially announced the C3 with specs soon because I didn’t realize that the NEX-5 also had the $50 discount (thought it was just the 3 until I noticed on B&H yesterday). If it’s pretty much new body and 2 more megapixels..I’m not sure =/
Tofa
2 years ago |Oh man I want the flash SO BAD AND portrait prime. Then my Nex set up would be complete. Maybe super zoom in the distant future. But for 95% of my needs, portrait + flash with bounce
Jav
2 years ago |Any idea what the price would be on these? Most likely more than the already expensive price of the current ones? =/
