Its super sharp for Travel and Studio work. Controls flare very well. Only real room for improvement is: * SSM * Fstop * Build should be metal * Barrel snugness (mine has a little play) I'd hate to see it disappear to be replaced by a G. Not that G's are worse, I just think this Zeiss with it's T* coating is hard to beat. The 16-80mm is probably my favourite Digital Only lens available for the Sony A-Mount.
