New Sony NEX-5n review and news roundup

The NEX-5n is a terrific camera and you already know that I like it a lot. And I am not the only one. Every Amazon ranking shows how the NEX-5n is selling well. And I guess the NEX-7 would have done even better if there wouldn’t be that delay! Looking forward to January-February when the camera will be finally in Stock!
One more thing: I heard that the Stock of NEX-5n cameras is limited. I hope it will not run out of Stock soon. Check the availability at Amazon, B&H, Adorama, J&R, eBay.

I love the built in flash on the Sony bodies, it’s the gateway to wireless flash control and it works well within it’s limitations. Wireless and high speed sync is just impressive regardless.

2 years ago |I love how all you gadget freaks try to rationalize NEX7 drawbacks as if they were features. I any of you were photographers, you wouldn’t have to ask an idiotic question like “why is built in flash a drawback”.

2 years ago |Sony products are very good but Sony as a company sucks. I find that it just disrespects its customers who as good suckers take all the bs in. If a corporation gives a release date for a product, it should meet this dateline and, if it cannnot meet this dateline, at least give an explanation as a show of consideration with its customers. Instead, Sony has us going in circles discussing while Sony is disrespecting us. I predict that the NEX 7 will not come out. Why? Because it missed its economic time, that is, the christmas shopping 2011. When is the NEX 7 comimg out? In January? February? By the time it will be in the market, other producers will have raised to the challenge and have new models. The NEX 7 is doomed to fail.

2 years ago |ISO performance is not that far off and when scaled down it’s pretty much the same. Also, it doesn’t make any sense to say that extra resolution isn’t practical. It can be very practical, as well as it can be a drawback.
About the price, you conveniently omitted the EVF and additional controls. These things cost money.

2 years ago |Why would NEX7 be any better? It has worse ISO noise and it’s much more expensive (twice!). Built in flash is not a bonus but a drawback, and the extra resolution is not practical anyway (how often do any of you print larger than 1m wide images?)

2 years ago |Well, I clicked on the US-link, and it is at this moment one kit is the first, one kit is the second one third kit is the third. or am I mistaken? there was a nikon on the forth so there are other cameras in the list.
