New Sony NEX-7 video test and (and correction from 3Dkraft)

Andrew Reid (Click here) posted a first impression review of the NEX-7 video quality: “In video mode the same strengths that the NEX 5N had over the GH2 are apparent but more so…. Colour is richer and more accurate, gradation and tonality are smoother, dynamic range is greater, latitude (especially in the lows) is increased and a flatter image profile helps to give more flexibility when grading the footage.”
Meanwhile 3Dkraft (Click here) updated their NEX- versus GH2 test because of a severe misinterpretatation of the 1080p25 files by Premiere Pro. So re-read the test!
The super busy SonyalphaLab administrator tested the new 8mm Rokinon lens on the NEX-7 and posted many image samples. That lens takes super pictures. But you still cannot preorder it yet 
And while Sony Europe is doing their job well Sonystyle US (Click here) is again making a mess with many NEX-7 preorders. Many of our readers got messages like this: “We would like to inform you we are experiencing a delay with your Sony order. The following item NEX7K/B has been rescheduled to ship on 02/17/2012.“.

4 months ago |I received the email from Sony USA. I thought it was a great news that now I know that it will be shipped on that date, especially considering my order is nex-7 with black kit lens. Nobody has the kit lens other than Japan. It will be a “mess”, if they delay the shipping to March.

This administrator is superbrainless as well. He tested another lens.

4 months ago |Well, more like mislinked. Nowhere in the review did he mention “new 8mm Rokinon lens”. SAR made that assumption, without reading the actual review, I assume.

The new one is 2.8 and much smaller.

That would suck but Im not doing a lot of video with such a camera for much more then personal so whatever.

4 months ago |No it does not.A77 uses electronic stabilization as IBIS overheats. NEX does not have IBIS, lens has OS (if you use a lens with OS).Electronic stabilization needs aditional sensor area for this, so you get the crop.

What happened to the dual mount camera? Is is still coming in the Fall of 2012? I want to upgrade my D700 and was waiting to see what Sony does.

Still it seems to me – GH2 video is better then NEX7 video … While NEX7 me like much more than GH2. But video output from the GH2 (especially with hack) is clearly better …

Just wondering if there has been any more hints at the previously mentioned a55 update/replacement. My Maxxum 7D has just about given up the ghost, and I am thinking of buying the a580 which has plenty MPs for my uses, but would possibly wait to see if the a55 replacement with the new sensor is in the near future or not. Thanks muchly.
