What a non-surprise: Nikon D5 and D500 confirmed to use Sony sensors
Techinsights dismantled the Nikon D5 and D500 cameras and confirmed what we all knew was known anyway: Both cameras do use sensors made by Sony:
The D500 uses the Sony IMX321 CMOS Image Sensor
The D5 uses the Toshiba (Sony) T4K54 CMOS Image Sensor (Note: Toshiba sensors are made by Sony)
