The japanse company Rayqual announced a couple of new E-mount adapters with built-in tripod mount. There will be E-mount adapters for Nikon F, M42, Leica R, Olympus OM, Canon FD and Pentax K mount lenses. Rayqual sells their adpaters on their own website Rayqual.com. But sadly it’s only in japanese language. The adpaters will cost around $180-200. We will might find them soon on eBay (Click here to see the current Rayqual adpaters on eBay).

Enhanced flexibility for changing formats is the
biggest point of a tripod mount in my mind?

9 months ago |Why do I have the sensation that the Minolta users are being screwed by Sony!?
Look at these adapters…every possible mount…even Pentax 6×7!
Where is the Minolta MD?
Cheers!

9 months ago |Not at all… The A-Mount is the only path to a fully functional intelligent mounting solution. LAEH-1 & 2 make the A-Mount native… That’s why the “α” appears on every NEX. They are native to two mounts… E & A.
I know the LAEH is labelled as an “adapter”… but with the functionality, it’s really more of an interchangeable mount, and not an adapter at all.

9 months ago |why don’t you check ebay? there are minolta md convertors which work very well and are not expensive. I use this one with my rokkor lenses (mainly my 50mm f1.4) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Minolta-MD-MC-Lens-Sony-NEX-3-NEX-5-Adapter-/300521074985?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45f873b129#ht_2512wt_1071 but there are plenty of others which you can easily find with a search. Usual caveat emptor ebay rules apply.

9 months ago |What’s new here aside from the high price? These have been available on eBay for a year now for $25-$40.
But there’s nothing like having the quality name of “Rayqual” in my hands… WTF?

9 months ago |It’s just the same as the Novoflex and Voigtlander. Of course, they want you to believe that these adapters would last longer than other cheapo adapters. I have heard stories of lens falling off from cheap adapters. Personally, with adapted SLR lens, I would always hold the lens and the camera body at the same time (easier to adjust focus). I think some street photogs prefer to shoot with one hand, and thus putting more strain on the mount.
