Reminder: Big SLT and NEX rebates in US.
This is just a reminder to say that yesterday Sony launched a great deal action on many SLT and NEX cameras. The only little bad news is that the deal doesn’t include the new A99. That’s the list:
Deal 1) Save up to $300 on Qualifying Sony Alpha Digital SLR Cameras (Click here to see the Amazon page). The same deal is now running on BHphoto and Adorama too.
Deal 2) Save up to $200 on Select Sony NEX Compact System Cameras (Click here to see the Amazon page). The same deal is now running on BHphoto and Adorama too.
Deal 3) Save up to $100 on Select Sony Lenses (Click here to see the Amazon page).
Deal 4) Sony Cyber-shot Digital Cameras Starting at $79 (Click here to see the Amazon page).
The NEX-6 deal may be the on to grab. it’s the newest NEX camera and was a good deal even before the $100 price drop!

4 months ago |While I don’t agree with most of what you said, the D600 is a good alternative. My main thing is I need clean HDMI out for video, and would prefer (but not require) FF. Nikon has been able to provide that, while Sony seems to refuse catering to my needs (and I am guessing a fairly good size market. I tend to think a lot of people drop off in their quest for a dslr from the $2K to the almost $3K mark)

4 months ago |I agree. camelcamelcamel states that the A77 price has been this low since October…

4 months ago |I’ve been considering an A77 or NEX-6/7 for the past couple months and these “new” discounts have been around since before Thanksgiving. I would suspect that as the announcement for the new cameras(at least for the A-mount line) gets closer, there will be even better discounts. I could see myself pulling the trigger on a $900 A77 body.

4 months ago |I think we’ll see the A99 at around 2,000 by next November/December. My brother was able to get an A77 for ~$960 last xmax while I payed $1400 less than a year ago.

4 months ago |Then you will probably always be waiting and not getting anything. If price is so much of a concern. Maybe you can take a look at the 2nd hand market.
No idea why you think a FF NEX might be around 2k though. We always hope for it to be cheaper/more affordable but many a time. It just wont happen..
People who can afford or bite the bullet are buying them and already enjoying..only left with online people still complaining about the price for every new or existing products.

4 months ago |I am looking to pay about 2,000 for either the rx1 or A99. I actually don’t think either is overpriced but that’s what I can barely afford.

4 months ago |I will not buy the A99 until it gets around $2K (body only), or alternatively a full frame Nex (that may be coming if it is possible around 2K)

4 months ago |Probably, but most people want a reputable dealer . . . or at least many do.

4 months ago |I might me wrong but haven’t we seen some unofficial pricing of the a99 at about $2,500?

4 months ago |Doesn’t include the overpriced A99? Why? The camera is not selling well . . . lower the price and people like me would be much more likely to jump on board. Then again, $100 off would be laughable.
