Small CES updates
I didn’t receive any new rumor about the “mysterious” NEX camera. The only thing we know for sure is that there will be at least one new NEX camera (prototype?). Another source told us that Sony will also show again a Sony A77 prototype. I really hope it’s not the same prototype shown at the Photokina (see the picture on top) as this is definitely NOT the real A77. Anyway I hope to have more reliable and detailed info soon. And if not, than the Sony live conference (scheduled for Wednesday 5pm Las Vegas time) will give us the final answer.
Rumor correction: A few Sony compact cameras will be announced in February and not at the CES. That includes the rumored compact camera with 1080p60 recording. We will post a new article about that soon.

3 years ago |Mock-up / prototype is better than nothing–it’s enough for most of us to make an educated decision if it’s worth waiting for the new model or not. Personally, I’m dying to see how bold the NEX model design will be…if they are conservative with it, then it’s not worth it.

The big reveal is the new SONY 3D Bloggie Camcorder….a NEX prototype will just take the shine away from that. So my money is on no NEX prototype.

3 years ago |The mockup issue is very important. There are lots of people in need of clarification.
1) Why the mockup above is definitely NOT the A77? Some proof would be welcome.
2) If the mockup is definitely not the A77, then what could it be?

3 years ago |Hope to see a new prototype of the new A7XX and A77 and then we haven’t to wait to long for it.
For me, no net for new NEX. I need a new APSC (Semi)Pro model and hope some new FF SLR’s.

3 years ago |contraspirit – it was already told last yar by a Sony oficial that the real A77 will NOT look like that mockup (which is more than 2 years old). They did not have or did not want to show a more recent one.
