Some size comparisons.
Anthony Chau sent us that size comparison. Thanks! Click on the picture to enlarge the image. And Hisashi Jimmy sent us the drawing he made and posted at Mobile01. It shows the size of the LA-EA2 adapter. You can see it here:
And here you can find another (Click on the image to enlarge). The source link is here on Flickr.

9 months ago |In the bottom right image it says the D7000 is smaller than it’s counterpart but the D7000 belongs to AA-line (advanced amateur) of Nikon => upgrade of D90…
just saying. Although I don’t think you can speak of a counterpart when one doesn’t have a mirror and the other has…
The A77 should have to be considered semi-pro as it will be the best APS-c camera sony is going to offer the comming 4 years. It’s counterpart would be the D400 or currently the D300s
Also what lens has been put in front of the NEX-adapter?
The top image clearly shows that there was room to put 4 buttons left of the screen as that still wouldn’t make it to big compared to a A900. Why didn’t sony use that? The camera is clearly aimed at people used to as many buttons as possible? Is it only costsaving just as the EVF was?

9 months ago |By the way, on the last if you follow the source link in the last you can look at it in its original size, which makes it easier to judge the size differences of the cameras

9 months ago |can someone compare A77 and A580?
Mike
9 months ago |If you look at the front profiles they look similar, but the A77 has a deeper, higher grip and feels a lot chunkier and more solid.

9 months ago |From that angle, A77 looks more curvy, while A33/A900 looks more blocky.

9 months ago |And here’s another comparison. Consider the A700 being the same size as the A77.

9 months ago |Kybel, the a77 is marginally bigger than the a580, the grip on the a77 is about half a cm taller and its about half a cm wider

Also, with the grip its a lot thinner but taller than a canon 1d, and thinner than an a900 w.grip but the same height
