But that thing is pricey (The LA-EA2).

with the LA-EA2, the 35mm F1.8 SAM is actually hard to beat (AF wise).

Personally its my favourite lens right now for MF on the NEX, and if I need AF, the LA-EA2 makes it perfect.

I get that the size is a bit of a problem for most though.
