Sony A57 already listed at Redcoon Europe!
Next Tuesday Sony will announce the new A57 SLT camera with 16 Megapixels. And stores are already preparing the new preorder pages. So it comes that you can now find the void A57 listed at Redcoon Belgium, Redcoon Germany and Redcoon France.
A part of the new 16 megapixel sensor and the 1,44m dot viewfinder the A57 is pretty much the same camera like the A65. I will cover the A57 presentation here on SAR on Tuesday morning (6-7-8am London time). Stay tuned!

2 years ago |ALpha 57VY means that it is the double zoom Kit with 18-55mm and 55-200mm (Y) and that is has GPS (V).

2 years ago |even though an Europe is currently worth 1.31 Dollars and might well go over 1.40 in the next tree months as Europe seems to stabilize, it is sadly true that the europrices are nearly as high as the dollar-prices do to Sony’s crappy price politic and the fact that vat is quite a bit higher inside of the EU (19% e.g. for Germany and 19,6% for France…). So i guess you can be happy that they’ll probably charge you 1100 or 1200$ for it instead the 1400 it would correspond to at the moment.

2 years ago |I don’t know if that’s the official Sony retail price, but the German Redcoon online store is listing the SLT-A57V as 749 € (body only, no lens).
Sony SLT-A57VK – 849 € (should be the kit with 1 lens)
Sony SLT-A57VY – 1049 € (should be the kit with 2 lenses)

2 years ago |I would guess that if the body is mostly like the a65 that it does not have micro adjustment, and I also would bet that it will not have decent bracketing like the A77. And of course, no tethering. Deal killer for me.

Btw, why not Sony offer FOC firmware and purchase firmware. ie: so many do not like tethering in a77. perhaps Sony could offer 2 types of firmware. Whoever taking tethering or more feature fw, pay more , fair? at least Sony engineer not doing for free

Releasing $15,000 lenses and bodies that have smile activated shutter but no tethering. And even when people asked for it, Genge sounded surprised that people wanted it. They’re basically clueless.
