Sony A77 and A65 test roundup (with A77 versus NEX-7 image comparison)
Soundimagesplus (Click here) compared the A77 versus NEX-7 image quality: “Interestingly it seems the NEX-7 files are slightly less noisy and slightly less sharp. Indicating possibly a slightly stronger Anti-Aliasing / Low Pass filter.”
Whatdigitalcamera (Click here) reviewed the Sony A65: “There’s no doubt that the A65 faces some stiff, established competition, but it’s the A65 that delivers the best all-round blend of features, performance and image quality. It’s a great camera that deserves real consideration.”
Sony A77 ISO test at Pconline (Click here).
Nine reasons to buy the Sony A580 at Photographytalk (Click here). They are writing a couple of articles criticizing the Sony electronic viewfinder technology. Hmmm, I have the NEX-7 and I am getting in love with that amazing electronic viewfinder. Wait for my review
In Stock status:

Adrian sent me the following text: “I noticed that the London Camera Exchange chain of stores in the UK actually have both the A65 and A77 in stock and on the shelves.“

2 years ago |And still this crapy clicking sound made by the 5n. I’m still waiting Sony to do something with the new cameras. I don’t want to buy a camera and send it back to Sony right away! Andrea, did you hear anything about a fix ? Thx!
admin
2 years ago |When did you buy the camera? New cameras should be already fixed. Otherwise you have to send your cam to Sony!
Mikael
2 years ago |I did not buy one yet! Because every camera I tried in several stores had this problem… It would be great to know the serial number of the fixed cameras!

It sounds like all of the demo cameras in your country need to be updated! Most of the time, demo cameras are the cameras from an early manufacturing batch.

It has now reached overload with reviews and it has smoked out the real intentions of some site’s. For me I don’t read this stuff anymore I would rather be making pictures..

Focusing in the exact same point usually helps to make meaningful comparisons.
NEX-7 has proved to be sharper in every other test I’ve seen (since it has no semi-transparent mirror).

2 years ago |Right; if you compare the sharpness of the lenses lined up behind the NEX-5N, you clearly see that the focus was completely different between the two cameras.

2 years ago |PDN (Photo Distric News, a magazine for Pros, in the USA) calls Sony’s SLT-A77 the Digital SLR of the Year. See the article “2011 Photo Gear of the Year” http://www.pdnonline.com/pdn/features/2011-Photo-Gear-of-t-4124.shtml If you still read magazines, it in the PDN January 2012 issue.
These people are credible. If they dislike a camera, they say so loud and clear.

2 years ago |FYI that test was with the adapter with the LA-EA2 SLT mirror, that may be why there was no improvement, as they used the same lens on both cameras, would like to try with the LA-EA1.
