I am probably going to get the A99, but maybe I'll wait till after NAB announcements, to see if another FF camera (maybe something like a full-frame FS100) from Sony might lead to a price drop. What annoys me about the A99 is the European pricing, particularly in Germany where I live. It is still € 2800 pretty much anywhere you look. In the UK it's more like € 2300! I also think it's poor that it doesn't have an intervalometer for time-lapse.

A lot of people can not stand to do the perfect camera Sony A99, which not only looks good but creates superior photos with using high optical lenses or Zeiss or G Professional range from Minolta.

Personally, I like that I can take pictures with the A99 and I would not trade it for any Canon or Nikon EVF viewfinder is an amazing tool to improve shooting even before I take a photo. Very much it saves me a job because I take pictures just visibly clearer photos, instantly see the EVF and not only on the rear LCD or PC at home.

By 6400 I have no problems at all and probably with details at 100% magnification. More we can not argue!

I agree in the UK the A99 is so expensive right now I'm not sure what Sony are thinking.

A mount users are angry
- High prices for lenses and A99
- New lenses with big prices that are irrelevant to the mount (50mm f1.4 zeiss)
- Noisy A77 that supposed to be a semi pro camera but has a lousy sensor
- Hot shoe change to a non standard hot shoe (can't fit standard hot shoe stuff properly)
- Plastic cheap mount A58 that's a downgrade over the previous model and utterly boring/not competitive with rivals
- No mid level new flash despite the hot shoe change (anyone want to pay £450 for a top end flash hmmm)
- No improvements in flash system no proper macro flash, no radio flash or control from camera body
- Lousy firmware update that did not solve the smeary jpegs/bad bracketing on models.
- WL flash delay on the A99 model which should have had a flash built in anyway

Not looking good that's why Sony have a pretty bad 6% market share right now that's awful and no wonder they're clueless
