Sony announcements summary
After the recent Sony announcements I thought you would be happy to have a small summary.
1) First we have the Sony Alpha 450 which has following Key Features:
- 14.2 effective megapixels Exmorâ„¢ CMOS sensor
- Up to 7 fps continuous shooting
- Manual Focus Check Live View
- Auto HDR
- 1,050 shot battery stamina (CIPA measurement)

2) Yesterday Sony unveiled twelve new Cyber-shot compact cameras.
- Cyber-shot DSC-HX5
- Cyber-shot DSC-W390, W380, W370, W360, W350, W330, W320, W310
- Cyber-shot DSC-TX7
- Cyber-shot DSC-S2100, S2000
With the “Transfer Jet†tecnology you can transfer images on the fly from one Cybershot to another!

I am happy that we were able to leak all the new Cybershot cameras one month before their announcement! Our rumors are becoming very reliable and we are almost ready to publish new Sony Alpha Camera rumors! Before that I will work on a small redesign of the website, It is time to improove it a little bit

3 years ago |Speaking from the CES show floor (okay, it closed tonight). The DSC-TX7 and DSC-HX5V are two cameras that should have the world at their feet. Shall we list some of the interesting features?
Full 1920×1080 60i AVCHD at either 17mbps or 9mbps, your choice. Big files = lovely video
Don’t want the AVCHD Blu-Ray authorable content? Fine turn off AVCHD and switch to
MP4 at 1080p (12mbps) 720p (6mbps) or VGA (3mbps). Welcome to online friendly.
Superb stabilization. Oh and Optical Zoom and Optical stabilization is available in video (AVCHD or MP4) or not. Nice.
Backlight correction HDR.
Face detection, face motion recognition, smile shutter.
Full metadata GPS and Compass tagging (HX5V only). Latitude, Longitude, Time, Date, and the direction you were facing when you took the shot. Also nice.
25mm – 100mm. Zeiss. On a folded optic. And it’s WELL CORRECTED. What?! Yes. Yes it is, people. Nice.
25-250. It’s been done, but it’s still nice.
921K screens (TX7) make me happy. And you, too. Especially when composing 60i HD video. So nice.
Handheld Twilight mode is still one of the most useful modes available from any point and shoot from any company. 6 shot stacking to clean up your noise. Priceless in the right circumstances. Thank you, Sony.
The new iSweep Panorama is just as cool as the old Sweep Panorama. Except it handles motion better. Also nice.
TransferJet really is pretty sweet.
Also I have no idea why no one’s screaming about SDHC support in Sony Cybershot AND Handycam. It’s HUGE. And the pricepoints are well stated.
Sony’s going to have a very, very good 2010.
