Sony NEX-5n reviews roundup.

Ryan Brenizier (Click here / via noisycamera) posted a new NEX-5n review: “If “workhorse dSLRs” have reached maturity, mirrorless cameras are still in their awkward teens: They have so much potential, but each one brings their own quirks. The 5n is no exception — at different times it left me jumping around excitedly and scratching my head in frustration.”
Also ePhotozine (Click here) posted a new NEX-5n review: “This could be the best NEX and whilst a subtle update, it gives quicker performance in use (including an impressive 10fps shooting), better battery life, higher resolution, touch screen aids control and there are new lenses available, which will be especially good news to anyone who has already bought into the NEX system“.

7 months ago |Ryan Brenizer’s review is actually pretty positive, despite the picked headline.
The major drawbacks are: no hot-shoe, flash cannot work when the EVF is installed. And finally lack of lenses.
These are very valid points. But still, it seems he liked it a lot, and is going to be using it.
Well, 5N is a camera to like.

7 months ago |The test in Color Foto (german) offers a bit more than the usual stuff: they don’t only have opinions, they measure…
Final conclusion: The APS-C-Format-Sensor der NEX-5N uses its bigger pixels for top image quality. Even the ISO 12.800-setting can be used, als long it’s not directly compared to a high end camera like the Nikon D3.

Any update on main issues raised :
- are NEX-5n new cameras not clicking anymore now ?
- how about overheat issues on video after 20 minutes ?
Thanks,
C

7 months ago |Please help, I have a question I amazingly can’t find an answer to (looked all over the internet with conflicting answers): Does the NEX 5n have gps – geo-tagging?
It is a crucial factor in my buying decission so I would love to hear a definitive answer from an owner

7 months ago |The 5N does not have GPS–non of the NEX models do. Probably because batteries are too small.
Is it just me or is the video a little overexposed and washed out?

7 months ago |Thank you for your answer, at least now I know why I had trouble finding the information.
Kind of strange to omit such a feature in a camera much better suited for travel, and have it in the bigger, less travel friendly models.
