UPDATE: Sony stores makes a mess :)
UPDATE: Many readers contacted me to say that the estimate ship date is showing wrong data. The screenshot above shows the NEX-7 preorder at Sonystore US with the shipping date for the NEX-7 being September 13 2011 (LOL!). In fact the date is NOT the shipping date. Many readers contacted me to show me Sony’s mistake. I hope Sony is reading the news and will soon fix the issue.
P.S.: I got similar messages from other people that ordered the NEX-7 or A77 at Sonystore US (Click here) and Sonystore UK (Click here).
The official Sony stores still do say the NEX-7 will be shipped from November and the A77 from October (in EU and US countries). Check:

9 months ago |I really WANT this to be true since I’m eagerly waiting for my NEX-7 pre-order to ship … but I seriously doubt that Sony has finished the firmware development and produced enough cameras on the assembly line to start shipping in September.
Besides, several Sony reps have said that the NEX-7 will have fancy packaging unlike any other Sony product and that Sony will showcase this packaging prior to the release of the NEX-7 (probably to get more people to pre-order it). Since we haven’t seen examples of the new packaging I’m guessing we’re going to have to wait a while before the NEX-7 ships.

Shipping Update means it can’t figure out when to ship. It will keep saying 9/13/11 until it ships (BTW I’m guessing it was ordered today?)

9 months ago |The estimated ship date is generated at the time of order. It is never correct unless your item is actually in stock. I order a lot from sonystyle, including the Nex-5N and evf recently so speaking from experience.

Their estimated dates on the product pages are generally either spot-on ir a little conservative, though. So 11/9 for the NEX7 and 10/19 for the A77 should be pretty golden.
