Sony NEX will be in Stock on Amazon on June 30, 2010.
Finally Amazon has the NEX-3 available for preorder (via third-party)
Accoding to BHphoto the approx. arrival is June.
Adorama is a little bit more pessimistic…Delivery scheduled to start end of July 2010!
Amazon Germany says that NEX cameras will be in Stock in 1-2 months

2 years ago |Amazon has no information other than the Sony press release. All of these dates from Amazon (and probably other retailers) are guesses based on the laws of the region and the info that sony has put out. Sony is unlikely to have committed to any dates to anyone– if they could commit to dates they would do so publicly.
When Apple releases a new product they commit to a date and they do so publicly. The choice whether to do this has marketing and legal implications– and Apple and Sony just choose different ways of going about it.
But this means, nobody, outside of sony, really knows the shipping dates. (So the info from the sony french website is more useful than the date Amazon puts on a page.)
The people who make these pages at amazon are low level people who are just guessing, at best.

2 years ago |To be honest, I dont know much about the NEX5, I think you would be more happy with the Nikon D5000. To take total control of your pictures, and produce what you want, a traditional SLR will give you the control and feel.
