Via Imaging Resource: “Proving just how quickly plans can progress in the photo business, the company has now reversed that decision, and announced its intention to ship the Sony Alpha A580 in the USA from November 2010. The Sony A560, meanwhile, has been delayed until the first quarter of 2011, with the company citing unanticipated levels of demand for its NEX-series single-lens direct view cameras.”

2 years ago |I think, we already knew that.
And what Sony Sweden says is bull****, I spoke with the sales Manager of Sony Germany and he said, they haven´t got nothing like that from Japan and that they will still build further “classic” DSLRs.
He even had a Powerpoint Presentation and also there it was clearly stated, that Sony will be building “classic” DSLRs among SLTs and EVILs.
That would be my 2 cents.
Maybe I will make another mini-report

2 years ago |Originally i thought Sony wants to delay those a580 because everybody would buy A580 instead of a55 due to better image quality.
I just compared samples at image-resource and found that a560 / 14mpx/OVF quality is similar to A55 /16mpx/EVF. And its better than A33 /14mpx EVF/
If they come with soon a580, it will be best choice out of alphas.
