Speed Booster adapter shipping via Metabones website (and on eBay).
Finally the Speed Booster adapter is shipping via the Metabones website and also in Stock for the regular price on eBay (via HK). And to get notified when more adapters are in Stock save this search on Slidoo eBay (login and change your root country if required).
GetDPI user Brianc discovered that the Speed Bosster and “Tilt Shift combo optical axis decoupling results in some unexpected results.“. And another test is available at Japanese DC.watch (translation here).

4 months ago |If you do not insist on buying everything from eBay, you can always buy it directly from the factory, at http://www.metabones.com. It has been shipping for more than a week from the official channel.

4 months ago |From an FAQ section the MB product site:
“Will there be Speed Boosters™ for Canon FD, Minolta MD and Sony Alpha lenses?
We will be looking into Canon FD, Minolta MD and Sony Alpha in the future. We do not have an estimated date yet. Disclaimer: this shall not be construed as a commitment to ship – we are not done prototyping any of these yet but we will conduct testing to decide if these lenses are free of interference issues with the optics of the Speed Boosters™ before we will be able to turn them into actual products.”

4 months ago |I am absolutely buying a Alpha adapter (Alpha lenses on Nex body), as I have about a dozen minolta/sony alpha lenses, some of which are quite good.
Keeping my fingers crossed

4 months ago |How about a Speed Booster for Sony Alpha cameras?
Svendf
4 months ago |If they ever release one for the Sony Alpha system, you won’t be able to use Sony Alpha lenses(same register distance so no room for an adapter).
If they use another 35mm mount, for example Tamron Adaptall, which has a register distance of 50,7mm(Sony Alpha has a register distance of 44,6mm) you’ll only be able to use it on the APS-C models.

4 months ago |I know it’s a sony territory here but if someone could help me…
I still don’t understand if it is possible and planned to use the speeedbooster with fuji X cams and canon EF lenses which would be the best combination in my opinion.
GunnarK
4 months ago |Well, it ought to be possible, but no, as far as I can see there are no plans for a Canon EF to Fujifilm X-mount adapter from Metabones.
Unfortunately, I’m afraid that the probability for that to happen in the future is low. The worldmarket share for the Fujifilm E-mount system is insignificant, while the worlds most sold “mirrorless” system is the NEX system, and then is Panasonic and Olympus following. These three have together captured more than 80% of the mirrorless interchangeable lens world market.
If Metabones would consider to add another mirrorless mount to their products, I’m pretty sure it would be for the Micro FourThirds system.

4 months ago |According to their website Metabones will launch mFT- and Fuji-versions, no timeframe though.
“Other mount combinations will follow shortly afterwards. Leica R, ALPA, Contarex, Contax C/Y and Nikon F (with aperture control for G lenses) will be supported, as will Micro 4/3 and Fuji X-mount cameras. Support for other mounts will be added in the future.”

4 months ago |Been searching everywhere…will the Canon EF 50mm f1.0L become a 53mm f0.7(Full frame equivalent) on a NEX?? If so the whitepaper has a small typo on the f0.90 limit! This is Carl Zeiss 50mm f0.7 NASA Mission capable territory : ))

4 months ago |No. The maximum output aperture is f/0.9 and we cannot get any faster than that. Speed Booster designer Dr Brian Caldwell (brianc1959) explains the maximum output aperture in this thread: http://nikongear.com/live/index.php?/topic/47313-speed-up-your-lens/page__st__100
