(SR1) UPDATE: Almost certainly fake A77 picture :(

Click on picture to enlarge the image!
A chinese forum user posted the picture on top claiming that it was taken with the Sony A77! Of course there is nothing that can confirm is this is true or not. The EXIF says it has been take with the A77 at ISO 400, f/6.3, 1/320 and with the focal length at 210mm. Exif data can easily be faked and the image itself looks like a photoshop collage…take that “rumor” with a grain of salt (it’s almost certainly fake!).
Some of our sources may have a real A77 picture to share?
Don’t miss to be here on SAR on August 24 (6-7 am London time). Keep following us on Facebook, Twitter and follow our RSS-feed! And be sure to be here at SAR on August 24th!
Support this site: I am having a lot of fun to work on SAR. I don’t use dozens of banners and I don’t get paid by any company to do what I do. All the work you see here is made by me during my free time. If you want to help me to cover the monthly server costs there is an easy way: Click on affiliate links you see on that website like Amazon, Adorama, B&H, J&R, eBay to buy whatever product you want (it doesn’t have to be a camera) and I will earn a small commission from it. You don’t pay any penny more on the items you buy and at the same time you support SonyAlphaRumors without me having to put 100 banners on my website. Cool or not? Thanks
Reminder (SR = Sonyrumor):
SR1=probably fake rumor
SR2=rumor from unknown sources
SR3=50% chance it is correct
SR4=rumor from known sources (60-80% the rumor is correct)
SR5=almost certainly correct!

10 months ago |If the shot is taken at ISO 16000 i think it will have more credibility.
Bernd
10 months ago |Hm….I wonder how you could focus on the flower AND the moon and still have the rest out of focus. ; )
Sky_walker
10 months ago |it’s because the moon was closer than the leaves in background, obviously.

10 months ago |Doesn’t have to be “fake”, could just be two shots blended. Whether it’s an A77 shot or not I wouldn’t care to argue, I’ll just wait for the actual reviews.

10 months ago |Image is fake, You can feel the DOF at green leafs and you can view moon clearly?? …the moon should have a good amount of blur…totally fake image ..
SonyA77
10 months ago |ISO 400, f/6.3, 1/320 and with the focal length at 210mm.
So it’s low ISO, a small aperture, a high shutter speed and 210mm. I don’t think so LOL!

10 months ago |This is not an out-of-camera image. It is photoshopped. Look at the out-of-focus-area. Looks like two images and the EXIF-data from a third image have been put together.
DragonEye
10 months ago |It was definitely photoshoped

erwinkfoto
10 months ago |a)Fake
b)Multiexposure (a new feature I’ve been waiting for years) – in this case, focus was adjusted manually between exposures and flash power was adjusted to equal brightness of the moon/exposure time-
c)Auto-Multiexposure-Focus-blending (would be a new feature and I think, I’ve heard of it before) (was it a Fujifilm Cam?)
Anyway, we’ll see soon enough
fotowolf61
10 months ago |Looking to detailed EXIF it is defiitly a fake picture done with a 14 or 16Mpix sensor.
henk
10 months ago |comon you guys, this is 100% unquestionable proof that the a77 has a tilt-and-shift sensor… and local dimming sensor. this is without a doubt going to be a chuck norris-worthy camera
extra|ordinary
10 months ago |hahaha! too bad chuck norris has no use for a camera. In eyes of the ranger(yeah, I just made a walker texas ranger reference), the only thing picture worthy is himself roundhouse kicking the shit out of the a77.
Dodgy
10 months ago |well, need focus+exposure blending to achieve image like this (if this was a single shot image). or something happening to the Moon and not reflecting as much Sunlight as used to, in that case we have more serious problem than obvious fake image.
hansB
10 months ago |This morning, the moon was already 1 day past full moon. So this picture definitely is fake.
Duarte Bruno
10 months ago |I know it’s tempting to point this shot as impossible, but actually it is quite feasible considering a lens swap in the middle of the exposure.
I used to participate regularly on photo challenges where you couldn’t use more than one exposure and with very strict rules about PS.
This is an example: http://www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=874958
The details tell how you can do it, it’s actually much more simple doing it than explaining how.
