(SR3) UPDATED: New HVL-F43am flash coming in April?

Image on top: The current Sony HVL-F42am flash.
It sounds like Sony will not only announce new cameras and lenses but also a new external flash. I got this from a source: “The new flash that is going to be released this year replaces the HVL-F42am and instead of a guide number of 42, it is 43. I’m pretty sure the product would be called hvl-f43am. Its not huge news but at least we know the guide number of the new flash.”
UPDATE: The flash should be announced in April. You can see a current prototype picture at Dyxum (Click here). Check out the current Sony HVL-F42am price and specs at Amazon, Adorama, B&H, J&R, eBay.
Reminder (SR = Sonyrumor):
SR1=probably fake rumor
SR2=rumor from unknown sources
SR3=50% chance it is correct
SR4=rumor from known sources
SR5=almost certainly correct!

And that Nissin 866 is a pretty nice flash. I’ve shot it on both Canon and Nikon product. It’s truly the second coming of the SB800 for Nikon users and is a way better flash than the 420EX for Canon peeps. Recommended.

2 years ago |The GNs you have in mind are in ft. The rest of the world uses m. The HVL-F58AM has a GN of 58 m = 190 ft.

2 years ago |Nothing new here. 58 does it all and is much cheaper now. When 58 is discontinued, there better be a 59 in stock.
