One of my sources told me that Sony developed a new 54 Megapixel Full Frame sensor. It has 2460 focusing points (no joke!) and the focusing area covers 78% of the entire sensor. The sensor is still very expensive to manufacture. But if Sony will manage to lower the production costs that sensor could find his way in 2015-2016 A and E-mount cameras.
Reminder: Plenty of new cameras and lenses will be announced in January-February. There will be A and E-mount cameras, both Full Frame and APS-C. Stay tuned on SAR 😉
