(SR5) New NEX camera to be announced in April!!! (SR2) Is it the NEX-C3?

And here we are with a new rumor from our top sources! According to them Sony will announce a new NEX camera in April. The camera will be a compact model like the current NEX-3/5 but with more advanced controls and improved usability. The trusted sources didn’t share any details about the camera but we have a new source that claims to know the name. And because the source is new that part of the rumor is SR2 only. According to him the camera will be named “NEX-C3“. It is the NEX-3 successor and the NEX-5 replacement (the NEX-C5) will follow in September.
In US the NEX-3 just got a new instant rebates (Check yourself at Amazon (Click here) and Bhphoto (Click here).). This could be related to the NEX-3 successor rumor…

If this is true, Nex3C hold low end, follow by Nex5C mid range and Nex7 high end mirrorless. What kind of specs drawn each of these cameras belong to each categories, by MP? What else? Price?

2 years ago |I do not intend to upgrade my Nex-5 anytime soon, but new models are interesting. It shows in which direction Sony intends to take the Nex-line.
Plus, it keeps the interest from consumers going, since most want the newest possible camera, even if the older one might be better.

The hot shoe is a BIG deal to me. That dinky flash with the NEX-3 and 5 is useless and I’d also like to be able to use wireless transmitters to trigger OCF.

The only problem is it’s not reliable at all and doesn’t exactly look professional. I can’t show up at a shoot using a Cactus V2 transmitter taped to NEX pocket flash.

2 years ago |I don’t like the term “real photographers”, great work can be done with virtually any camera; but I agree that it’s been far too long since Sony has released a camera that’s aimed more at people that prefer shooting in manual modes opposed to people that use scene modes.

I hope Sony realizes that summer is the best time to use the A77. Festival, Fireworks, summer sports, and most importantly weddings.
If only we had the A750 last year and then Sony can take its sweet time with the A77.

Lol. Sony has to build the user base for the E mount all over again. This means consumer bodies and usable lenses first.
