(SR5) NEX3 + 16mm lens for 499Euro
The cheapest NEX camera-lens combination will be the Sony NEX3+16mm lens for 499 Euro. The NEX5+16mm lens will be 599 Euro. This are the price indications form Sony. The real price could be cheaper!
I was told that also two-lens-kits will be available for cheap.
For comparison:
In US the Olympus E-PL1+lens is $549.00
(425 Euro)
On Amazon Germany you can have the Olympus E-PL1+lens for 540 Euro

3 years ago |umm if that is including VAT – it could be cheaper in US. however, this price is a letdown. i thought sony was going to have “aggresive pricing”. thats more like… “testing the consumer waters” lol.
hopefully samsung pulls a rabbit out of the hat and nx100 has better ergonomics and IBIS. im much less excited about nex3/5 now. its going to have to be a lot better IQ than nx5/10/100 offerings.

So that’s about $40 more expensive for the NEX3, and $70 more expensive for the NEX5 than I expected.
Plus it sounds like the flash unit is NOT included — but not sure about that yet.

3 years ago |I think the actual price in the States will probably be 549-599 for the NEX3, and 100 more for the NEX5. Europe had always been screwed by the currencies, so don’t be too disappointed just yet if you are on the State side.
