The first NEX-7 unboxing video and a new reviews.
While we are all anxiously waiting for the NEX-7 reviewers keep torturing us with excellent reviews and hands-on. And now we even have the very first unboxing video. So… enjoy and suffer! :=)
And Digitalcamerareview (Click here) posted a new NEX-7 review. And of course it got an Editor’s choice award! And Peter Sills (Click here) traveled for six days to Cuba with the NEX-7 and enjoyed the camera lot: “I am now totally convinced that the future of digital photography will incorporate high-quality EVF in almost all cameras“.
The NEX-7 is hardly available for preorder yet: Amazon, Adorama, B&H, J&R, eBay
P.S.: You can win a new NEX-5n at Pocket-Lint (Click here).

6 months ago |This is not the actual product. Once again we’re seeing a review copy unboxing and Sony said already that the real product won’t ship in that same box. You can see that it’s a review copy because it says not for sale or lease on the bottom of the mount ring.

6 months ago |Of course it is a prototype. No detective work required, they say so on the web site from where the video was taken.

I would expect that the final product comes with software and some manuals in the box, and that the camera end lens are in nice plastic bags with silica gel.

6 months ago |Enlighten me… why is the trend of doing those “unboxing videos” spreading like influenza? It’s worse than pornography, a totally useless thing to do.

6 months ago |The thing that gets me with all of the reviews/trials I have seen on the NEX 7, not single person has worked with off-camera flash. Sony, send me my Nex 7 so I can do a review of using this camera as a studio workhorse.
Anyone else out there interested in using this camera to sculpt light?

Im also interessted in Wireless flash and of Camera Flash in Studio use!
Geir E
6 months ago |- wireless flash (with the sony hlv flashes) is possible when using the hlv-20 as trigger.
- studio flash is easy with pc-sync adapter attached (sony makes one, ebay is full of them)
- wireless studio flash is easy with iISO to ISO and whatever your favorite system is connected to that. if it doesn’t support the iISO mount directly.
Just as with any a-mount alpha, beside all can fire sonys hlv flashes with built in flash. the nex-7 cannot.
