5 months ago |Thanks admin for the hook up. Just ordrered through SAR link. Any news of a 70-300 mm like lens for the nex system??
Gabriel
5 months ago |Damn. That is one good price. if only I didnt have the 30 already but I guess I can always sell one.

5 months ago |Whow, just checked the prices in Europe, which slowly dropped below €120 each, but still not close to this offer even after subtracting European VAT. But I still wish SIGMA adds their 50mm f/2.8 Macro from their DP3 Merril to this E-Mount collection…

5 months ago |Indeed, this is a slick and crazy deal. Jumped on it in a heart beat.
Is SIGMA coming out with the 35mm f1.4 for e mount and is that what’s driving this crazy price?
daniel
5 months ago |Wow, too good, just purchased. Went through your link and I thank you for pointing it out.

5 months ago |I went for it. Thanks Andrea!

5 months ago |The moral of this story is never buy a Sigma lens new! Turns out they are only worth 50% or less of the original new release price.
Emil
5 months ago |Sold out already!

5 months ago |So there goes the idea of glass holding some value. My pair of Sigmas apparently lost 75%+ of their value in the course of one year should I decide to want to unload them. Next time I will need to think long and hard should I be inclined to buy something from a brand with this sort of known pricing history. Even more so for protective accessories such as filters.

5 months ago |That’s Sigma for you;) You’ll be lucky to get 50% off new price even without this crazy deal, now more like 35-40% . I own them both too and paid $398 for both last September… Unless is it a quality pro glass from the big boys, lenses don’t hold value as much:(((

5 months ago |Lenses are tools and they depreciate in value. Unless you have the coveted Minolta A mount lenses, most lenses lose value in their lifetimes. But they more than make up for it in the images that you take with them.
DtEW
5 months ago |Actually, the situation would be just receiving my SEL35F18 and no longer needing the redundancy of the Sigma 30. Given that early-adopters are usually the very people who buy a good number of lenses per year (for me, 7 lenses in 2012, of course that was system-building), it isn’t the best of ideas to piss them off with short-sighted pricing strategies. Everybody understands that things depreciate. The difference is the rate at which it becomes discounted makes you feel like you were cheated for being an early supporter. I will probably buy a constant-aperture standard zoom when it comes out, but if it’s a Sigma, I’m going to have to think long and hard because I won’t be able to unload it, when, say a Zeiss version comes out.

5 months ago |Interesting…
I wonder why they would do that??
Sony is selling a ton of these camera bodies, right?
Just a guess; but maybe the NEX is a consumer purchase more like a point & shoot than a enthusiast or professional camera and most buyers never buy a second, third, fourth ……………lens like is done on DSLR/SLT bodies and they need to clear some inventory and don’t care about margins????
Then again how many buyers of a37, a57, a77 or even a99′s ever buy a second lens?
Or maybe Sigma knows something!

5 months ago |I really thought Sigma was selling a ton of these lenses. Surprising they are dropping these at such a crazy discount. The 30mm is an *amazing* little lens. Does make me wonder if Sigma knows something…
redfern
5 months ago |Probably just means OSS versions are coming. Either way, this is a really good deal on some proven lenses. Wish I hadn’t missed it!

5 months ago |A sign Sigma will introduce new versions with faster AF?
Mick
5 months ago |Or, hopefully better autofocus that doesn’t wiggle the picture every time it tries to autofocus in video mode.

5 months ago |I think it is a sign that a new (less sharp) version will come out for an AA less NEX!
The Sigma DN 30/2.8 at f/5.6 is too sharp for the NEX-6 and the moire (color as well regular moire pattern) is just very noticeable.
Those who have this combo can check it out for themselves.
Those who desire an overtly sharp 30/2.8 should buy it now. I thought the original price itself was a bargain!
Mike
5 months ago |Sure. The lens designers will intentionally reduce sharpness of a prime to compensate moiré issues on certain bodies.
If you want a less sharp image, shoot wide open or buy a zoom lens!
Wheelus
5 months ago |Geeez! Is anyone on SAR ever happy about anything? It’s too sharp and the price is too good? Time to check some of you into a mental institution!
Dean
5 months ago |calm down boys, that is a sure sign of new sigma NEX lenses come out soon. remember these 2 lenses don’t support phase detection, no OSS, and slow(2.8), which is more like a consumer product. after zeiss seriously into this NEX system, I guess sigma follows too. the new lens either a transform from new 35/1.4 or revised version of 30/1.4, 85, and 50, etc.
Almazar80
5 months ago |Still a good deal, though if you’re looking for these lenses. And if you don’t like them, you can sell them without incurring too much of a loss.
Dean
5 months ago |hopefully, but the new lenses will come as same price range, otherwise old lenses wouldn’t cut that much price. with price difference less than $100, I’m afraid most ppl will go for the better and newer one. Also bury in mind, this difference including less some key functions, like phase detection, OSS etc.

5 months ago |i thought the black friday deal ($150 each) was hot. i spend $300 on both and couldn’t be happier.
this is a must buy item(s)
I hardly touch my 50mm F1.8 OOS now

5 months ago |The BH website mentions back-ordered for the 2 lenses but they still shipped my order off today.
So I’m guessing it’s still available if people still want it.

5 months ago |The 30mm is amazingly sharp, but I understand the 19mm is less so. Adding in the fact that it is even bigger than the 30 and slower focusing than the 16mm pancake, and I ended up going with the Sony 16 instead. For this price, I’d jump on this deal. Otherwise, the deals going on the Sony 16 make it a better solution. This is probably why they are bundling together to start moving some 19′s.

5 months ago |maybe sigma is gonna discontinue this lenses and introduce some better updated with pdaf….who knows.but its a good deal
