Yet Another Sony RX1 Review
Good morning Ladies and Gentleman. Sony’s little full frame gem gets review after reviews. The Sony RX1 (price & specs), the world’s smallest digital full-frame camera, and its high quality 35mm f/2.0 Carl Zeiss T* coated lens are getting all the rage by photographers looking out for superior image quality in a compact body. 5 months ago |I dont think more then ten people bought that camera. Why doesnt sony just the damn time and resources making better a lenses and cameras and better e lenses? No , instead they waste time and money making an expensive fixed lens camera..a camera that 99% wont even buy let alone afford one. Will it revolutionize photography? Nope. will it be the pros choice? Nope. Will the masses use it? Nope. Sony…you need to wake up and stop avoiding your chief rivals, which is canon and nikon. You say you want to compete, but you do anything but compete. Such a shame…same as minolta. Trying to compete without actually competing. It didnt work with minolta, and now sony thinks it will work. …nice.

5 months ago |You dont think more than 10 people bought this camera? Funny, Amazaon, BH, Adorama, and others cant keep this thing in stock and I am sure Sony manufactured more than 10 of these. Sony has released something no other big maker has, a very high-spec, compact, professional quality body/lens combo that does not cost three tomes the price this one does. Also, they are bringing to market a model which incorporates a large sensor to small body with incredible results, probably paving way for future models and evolution to existing lines, such as the NEX series.
Why are you so negative and bent out of shape about something a lot of people find intriguing and a step in the right direction for digital photography?

My full Review will following when Aperture supports Raw files. But for now: I never had a better IQ the now. This Camera performs really great and worth every penny!!! I went for my review one day to london. The results OOC Jpgs are awesome.
So, if I’m really on of the ten, I’m the happiest:-)

5 months ago |sonynostyled – you should understand the position Sony is in. You obviously don’t. If they do exactly the same as Nikon and Canon their camera business will die. And quickly.
Ask yourself this question: If Sony offered nothing different who would choose them? New DSLR users? No, because they can’t compete on price. Existing Canikon users? No, because Sony offered no difference and they are already invested in the lens system.
Sony has shown, through the NEX range, that they CAN produce a world class camera that is new, is different and is very capable. The same goes for the RX-1.
Sure, Sony will makes some mistakes but personally, I’m enjoying this journey.
Lighten up and enjoy!!

5 months ago |How come no one is addressing the regional video system issue? Why is it that Sony puts PAL/NTSC capability on only 50i models but not 60i ones? And in such a way that NTSC recording is an on-demand function on top of the PAL firmware?? IMO it’s unfair to those from NTSC-land who needs PAL video on demand…
Last time I checked, the TX-1 suffers from this also.
I’ll never buy a Sony DC again if they continue to do just that.
