Zeiss 24mm for NEX in Stock! Buy the lens and NEX-7 separately to get them first.
To date some NEX-7 bodies has been shipped but it will take much longer if you are waiting to get the kit option (camera+lens). I have been told all kit options (with Zeiss or with the black 18-55mm lens) will be available much later. If you preordered the NEX-7 plus Zeiss 24mm lens kit I suggest you to buy the single camera and lens separately like I did!
The Zeiss 24mm f/1.8 is now in Stock at Amazon (Click here), Sonystore US (Click here), Amazon Deutschland (Click here), Amazon France (Click here), Amazon UK (Click here), Amazon Italy (Click here),
The NEX-7 isn’t in Stock right now but it keeps appearing in Stock sometimes at Adorama (Click here), BHphoto (Click here) and of course on eBay (Click here). I got mine at Fotomundus but they haven’t any camera yet.

2 years ago |Can you honestly put the square blame on any retailer for a wet and damaged box when shipped, presumably across country? Unless they promised a hand-deliver from a BH employee, I’d be placing the blame on the delivery service, God, and other people for having to share cargo space with your merchandise. Hopefully you get a new lens though.

2 years ago |I mentioned in another thread about a month ago…I have seen this E-series Zeiss 24/1.8 in store windows here in Athens since late November and saw another today. I think for some reason we got these much earlier than anyone else? I know the Sony press release for the A77/65 as well as the NEX-5n/7 were unveiled in Greece earlier this year. I wonder if Greece is a test market for Sony at the moment?

2 years ago |SHIPPED WET AND DAMAGED FROM BH PHOTO. Unable to test it. My Nex-7 will not be shipping until April 3, 2012 (according to my order info from Sony). Looks like I’ll have to return the Ziess order and wait until it’s back in stock again. It does look sweet though.
BH FAIL.

2 years ago |Hi decato,
I came from the Leica camp so I prefer high quality glass and I enjoy shooting portrait, landscape and architecture. This could be done with any camera but the right glass can make a difference. As it turns out I really like the simplicity of the feature set and menus in the A900.
However, there is no live view, built-in flash or video that has become so popular today. Being a full frame camera and using the 135 I find the combo to be very appealing and well balanced. Once the new full-frame CZ 50/1,4 becomes available I plan to have it. As stated elsewhere, I was hot on the heels for the A77 so I’m not married to any particular standard, but I’m not regretting what I ended up with. In fact, some may feel that I just invested in a dinosaur.

2 years ago |@Abu Ameena i have a 5n waiting for the nex 7 cant wait! Anyway if you go into your settings and turn off the the lens distortion from auto to off you will get your 10fps! After 10 it does buffer a bit but you will get 10fps if you turn that off!

2 years ago |Don’t worry, it has the blue logo, but it is not visible in this picture. And the quality is what you can expect (I got mine last week).

What the ???
2 years ago |class 10 card should be fine. put it in shutter prioty and point it at the sun or a bright light bulb (bump your shutter speed up 1/2000 – 1/8000) … that should get your 10fps for sure! if it doesn’t, then your card may be corrupted or the write speed may be a lil bit too slow (i dont really see that as a issue on a class 10)

2 years ago |To help others with possibly similar constraints/preferences, could you elaborate a little on your shooting style?
A900 + CZ 135 combo looks very diffent than any A77 16-50 or Nex7 24mm combination. Do you have other FF lenses? Or any other mounts you were considering to adapt to nex? Landscape, studio, street photography?

2 years ago |The a900 is a fine camera!!! I love mine! I have the a77 too and it is not bad but the IQ I get from the a900 is so much better and that is to be expected since it is a FF!

2 years ago |I just wanted to say:”Thank You admin!!!”
for the hint of buying the Nex-7 here in Germany from Foto-Mundus – Yes – I got it in my hand with the new Zeiss 24mm 1.8 + 16-50mm 2.8 together with the LA-EA2 adapter.
Believe me or not – it is indeed worth to wait!
Such a beauty of a camera/lens combination – just one thing disappoints me: that is the frames per second burst rate – at speed priority you can hardly reach 10 or more frames – maybe a faster card will help – even though I got a sandisk class 10. At continious shooting the fps is just 2 – and that’s a joke…sorry for that.
But all in all – I am really happy with the nex-7 even if exploring all the features will still take some time.
Thx

2 years ago |Yes derek, I did indeed bite the proverbial bullet on this package and it was a tough call. I hate having buyer’s remorse but this time I got it right! It’s a fantastic set-up and though it’s markedly more than I wanted to spend, it really does fit for the type of shooting I prefer. No compromises aside from lugging around the weight. Once I review the files in DxO v7.1 I’m in awe, and the weight seemingly melts away.
Oh, just to keep on topic, I do like the looks of the new Zeiss 24mm lens. Hmm, strange that it doesn’t have the blue logo.

2 years ago |WOW, you did it! I still have my A700 and I LOVE it! Selling A200 soon.

2 years ago |Now that it’s finally available I no longer want it. Funny how that works, but I got soOoo tired of waiting for the NEX7 and A77 that I just said – screw it! I ended up with a new A900 and the CZ 135/f1,8 and I’m glad I did. I figure if you’re gonna’ go into debt, you may as well do it right.
Also, there is no way I believe the new items became available on Christmas Day. Retailers’ were most likely just sitting on this stuff in order to flush their inventory of remaining stock of the older items. Well, it worked out quite well and in my case, I’m actually happier than I would have been otherwise.
