Oleg: “I filmed some swans with my Sony a65 and created this clip just for fun https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5yRuj1hraE. I used old but nice Tamron 200-400/5.6 lens with manual focus and aperture-proirity mode on f13-f16.
Quality of final video was slightly decreased because it was re-encoded on youtube with stabilizer feature. In windy weather is so difficult to get nice picture with software Anti-shake on 400mm focal. But anyway, i like results getting with this camera and this lens, and filming process too :)

Edward:I found out about the Mitakon 50mm f/0.95 first on your website. After a really long wait for the lens to arrive, I’ve finally managed to get some decent samples for a review. I’ve just finished it and thought some of your readers might like see what I found: http://infraedd.blogspot.co.uk/2014/10/lens-review-mitakon-50mm-f095.html

You didn’t see that coming: High demand warning on the QX1 and QX30!

Image made by Usperedi.

Many of us still struggle to understand the utility of the QX camera line. But it looks like Sony was spot on to make those weird cameras :)
Sony Japan just issued an official statement sying that because of the exceptional high demand we can expect some delays in shipments. Literally they say preorders were “much higher than the expectations“.
Well done Sony! And now give us those new RX cameras with curved sensor as next :)

Canon mega teaser was a double flop: No new camera and wrong advertising based on a movie shot on a Sony.

Canon “Impossible Teaser” revealed to be a double flop:

1) First, they teaser promised so much that all people expected to see some kind of exciting new camera. But instead they announced a “self promoting” new site.

2) The video ad you see on top tells the story from Uruguayan film director Fede Alvarez who shoot the famous viral “panic attack” video (here on Youtube). But the director itself commented on the Canon video to tell them that he shoot the movie on a Sony and not on a Canon camera!

Amazing how companies keep doing that kind of huge marketing mistakes. There is now a lot of humor-shit about Canon and one of them is that nice anti-impossible-teaser spotted by our friend Steve on CanonWatch.

Baron:Two friends take a bone-jarring ride in all an terrain vehicle. Watch their adventures as we film them from the air with our aerial drone. On the ground we filmed with our Sony AX100 4K camcorder. Right in the ATV with them is the ActionCam, shooting away. All 3 camera angles were edited using Multicam Mode in Final Cut Pro X. A little help for Zeiss: These should be your next FE Loxia lenses coming in 2015 :)

I am sure Zeiss will release many more new Loxia FE lenses in 2015. Now let us help them to decide which one they should release first! Let’s guess for a moment that they will base their new Loxia lenses on the ZM lens design. Here are all of them:
[shoplink 10875 ebay]Distagon T* 2,8/15 ZM (Click here to see price on eBay)[/shoplink].
[shoplink 9803 ebay]Distagon T* 4/18 ZM (Click here to see price on eBay)[/shoplink].
[shoplink 9804 ebay]Biogon T* 2,8/21 ZM (Click here to see price on eBay)[/shoplink].
[shoplink 9804 ebay]C Biogon T* 4,5/21 ZM (Click here to see price on eBay)[/shoplink].
[shoplink 9805 ebay]Biogon T* 2,8/25 ZM (Click here to see price on eBay)[/shoplink].
[shoplink 9806 ebay]Biogon T* 2,8/28 ZM (Click here to see price on eBay)[/shoplink].
Distagon T* 1,4/35 ZM (brand new here at BHphoto)
[shoplink 9808 ebay]C Biogon T* 2,8/35 ZM (Click here to see price on eBay)[/shoplink].
[shoplink 9809 ebay]C Sonnar T* 1,5/50 ZM (Click here to see price on eBay)[/shoplink].
[shoplink 9810 ebay]Sonnar T* 2/85 ZM (Click here to see price on eBay)[/shoplink].
[shoplink 9810 ebay]Tele-Tessar T* 4/85 ZM (Click here to see price on eBay)[/shoplink].

Now, the question is, which three ZM lenses should they make first in a proper “Loxia” version?

Would you buy the 102 Megapixel A7rV camera?
