(SR5) At least 6 Alpha cameras are going to be announced during the next 3 months!

According to the same source who leaked the NEX camera specs long time ago Sony is ready to launch six new Alpha cameras. All cameras do feature an APS-C sensor. The first two should be the Sony A290 and the Sony A390 (expected announcement early June). Both will come equipped with the 14 Megapixel CCD sensor. The next cameras will use the new ExmorHD sensor!

Sony makes small pixel size even smaller….now 1.43um!

Sony created the smallest pixel size CCD with 1.43um pixel. Sony uses dual microlens to improve the light collection. It also reduces by 12% the power consumption and has a special 1/4 resolution mode for high sensitivity and high speed image capture.

Sony 18-200mm lens for NEX -> shipment start on September 17

The japanese store Yodobashi is accepting preorders of the 18-200mm E-Mount lens. Shipments will start on September 17.
Reminder: Sony NEX will be start shipping on mid June!
