The new camcorder will be equipped with the same “Exmor” APS HD CMOS sensor to be used in “NEX-5” and “NEX-3.” In addition, the camcorder will be compatible with “E Mount” interchangeable lenses developed for “NEX-5” and “NEX-3”, and also the wealth of “A Mount” interchangeable lenses from the existing “α” DSLR camera lineup via a mount adapter. The cheapest NEX camera-lens combination will be the Sony NEX3+16mm lens for 499 Euro. The NEX5+16mm lens will be 599 Euro. This are the price indications form Sony. The real price could be cheaper!

I was told that also two-lens-kits will be available for cheap.

For comparison:
In US the Olympus E-PL1+lens is $549.00
(425 Euro)
and the Panasonic GF1 $754.95 (585 Euro)

On Amazon Germany you can have the Olympus E-PL1+lens for 540 Euro and the Panasonic GF1+lens for 780 Euro

(SR5) Last minute rumor: Fisheye adapter for the 16mm lens!

Share

It is no secret anymore that Sony will launch the new 16mm f/2.8 lens for the NEX system. But now we got informations from our sources that Sony will also deliver a fisheye lens adapter which you can use on the 16mm lens. We have no reliable information about the focal lenght but we speculate the fisheye lens will convert the 16mm in a 8mm (?) fisheye.

If you know more about that adapter feel free to contact us at sonyalpharumors@gmail.com or send us a message using the contact form on the right sidebar. It doesn’t store your IP-Adress and you don’t need to give me your email or name!

Thanks!
