Bad news! Still, the lens can be preordered at Amazon (Click here) and BHphoto (Click here).
We have the Japanese market share data based on camera sales of 2013 (Source: BCNranking). As you can see Sony made a+6% jump in the mirrorless segment. The less good news is that Sony lost market share in the DSLR-SLT category. Sony also lost a tiny 1% share in the compact camera business.
Note that in Japan the mirrorless sales numbers are as big as DSLR. Would love to see worldwide results too but unlike Japanese other countries do not provide such detailed data. At leats in US you can make a very rough idea of what sells through Amazon US ranking (Click here to see). And as usual Compact Cameras and DSLR from Canon are on top.
Let me catch up with some great EU deals:

3) As expected the NEX-7 price is dramatically falling in Europe. For example in Holland (699 for camera with lens).

The 28-70mm FE lens can be purchased as separated non-kit lens at Amazon (Click here) and with extras via Cameta at Amazon US (Click here). This is good news for Sony A7r camera owners that don’t want to spend the money for the also soon to come Zeiss 24-70mm FE lens. The Zeiss will be released on February 2.
Note: The NEX-3n is the most sold mirrorless camera at Amazon (full ranking here). It beats all the new cameras like the FUji X-E2, Olympus E-m1 and Sony A7 series :)

The FF B&W sensor description by Leica.
Sony is once more challenging Leica! According to one source Sony is developing a new Full Frame Black and White sensor for a camera to be launched within one year! This will be the second FF camera after the $8,000 Leica Monochrom (here at Amazon). On paper the advantages of such a sensor are amazing:
– Greater sharpness
– Cleaner Higher ISO results
– Increased Dynamic range
I don’t have any info about the sensor specs yet so we have to read some Leica Monochrom tests to learn how good a B&W sensor works:
Luminous Landscape reports that “the technology is not without ot flaws. Among these is that since the luminance information is only being sampled from the green cells, there is actually less resolution available than one might think. About 2/3rds in fact.”
