Picture of the mess inside the Sony Kumamoto sensor factory after the April earthquake

Appledaily posted the images of the damage created by the April 2016 earthquake inside Sony’s  Kumamoto sensor factory. It took Sony six months to get back to full sensor production. And this explains why in 2016 we had so few camera announcements. Let’s hope in 2017 we will finally see the new A7III and the new High End FF E-mount camera!
