I went on a trip (here in The Netherlands) for some low-light video work, and decided to take the opportunity to finally snap a few really great night-sky photo’s!
Sadly my newly bought 24mm f1.4 (and also the replacement…was defect so the only options left were; either use something from my old Sony NEX APS-C lens collection, or spend so shortly before the trip, another few hundred euro’s more on something else?
I decided to dust-off the small Sigma 19mm f2.8 EX ND, (yeah.. the APS-C one..) and ran a few test with it before leaving on my trip. the test shots were rather good, so I gave it a go, to take it with me on the trip.
I must say I’m rather pleased with the results, and might give this little lens another round in my camera-bag as an extra go-to lens for Night-sky landscape-panorama’s on my FF camera!
This is one of 3 panoramic photographs I took (beside a few single long exposure shots)
