New MagFilter for the RX100 now in Stock.

The RX100 is likely the most sold and popular Sony camera of the year. Always on top of the rankings at Amazon US (watch here) and Amazon Germany (watch here).

8 months ago |That’s probably the only thing which felt missing on RX100: being able to install a polarizer filter. Great item!!

8 months ago |I bought one and generally like it.
I did find it more useful with video in bright light than stills.
There is a slight loss in sharpness as the glass is not up to Zeiss standard.
Overall, I do recommend to have it in the bag and it does comes in handy now and then.

8 months ago |the original RX100 lens is quite soft (if you haven’t noticed) – that is the main issue with it (great sensor, softy lens in edges). No wonder there is no ‘lens’ word on it (asked anyone selling Zeiss glass what does it mean – e.g. they lend the name, not quality assurance).
anyway, this filter acts as ND stop filter as well? If so, how many stops? As there are situations you don’t want to ‘defend’ the light coming to RX100 optics – especially as it is very very slow (anything above 35mm).

8 months ago |Warning: both links provided don’t show the right product. As the video says, the RX100 requires the 42mm adapter. I wouldn’t have minded ordering one, but Amazon doesn’t seem to have the 42mm version at all.

8 months ago |Now both are gone, yet I saw them earlier, then only one was up when I was moving money to paypal, then the next gone, I should have ordered quicker…. Going to assume just taken down when they ran out of stock for some odd reason, very sad, I’d have put money down and waited for fresh stock.

8 months ago |Don’t order it from amazon. Order it straight from carryspeed.com. They still have the threaded adapter rings and the 42mm cpl in stock. I already have the cpl but ordered the threaded rings to screw on a variable nd filter.
