(SR5) More NEX-C3 leaks

Wow my job as rumor writer is becoming easier and easier. Inside the dpreview forum you can find plenty of new leaks! And as we all have already seen the many pictures of the NEX-C3 during the last two weeks the only news here is that Sony also leaked the girl holding the camera
And there are also the very first screenshots of the menu system:

The menu system confirms the rumor about the new NEX-C3 having the new art filers. They will also come for the NEX-3/5 via firmware update on June 3!

3 years ago |i heard yesterday, from my local camera-retailer, that they´re expecting to receive the NEX-7 very soon.but ofcourse they have to wait for the official release first, before they can put them on the shelf.
Pabolo
3 years ago |If they would only improve the quality of JPEG, as the stuff, that comes from the camera is the worst OOC junk I ever seen. And I love the auto HDR so much ;<
Nice to hear about the NEX7, however, I am kind of affraid, that they will again NOT put IBIS into that and not include a standard flash hot shoe :<
Please, let me be mistaking!
Geir
3 years ago |if the nex-7 can’t control wireless flashes, that would be the dealbreaker for me.
alex
3 years ago |if nex-7 is a semi-pro model, like a77, than i expect, that flash-capabilities, flash and hotshoe will also be semi-pro-like. nex-7 will be also bigger than nex-3 and nex-5, so more room to put a bigger flash-unit to it.
Mark
2 years ago |But I wouldn’t be suprised if its a Minolta flash hot shoe… better than nothing though!
Jon
3 years ago |is the FW news 100% SR5? if so, can’t wait for june3!

3 years ago |Is it me or I saw the SSS icon on te second picture???
ChenAlan
2 years ago |Pardon me, but what would SSS mean?
Gert
2 years ago |I am sorry to say so, but if you put the SEL 18-55 or SEL 18-200mm Lens to your NEX 3 or 5 body you see the same SSS icon. No real news here.
John Sison
2 years ago |It means SuperSteadyShot
ChenAlan
2 years ago |shouldn’t it be OSS instead of SSS? or is this the major breakthrough we need in NEX?
alex
3 years ago |i also asked about NEX c-3 but strangely, they did not tell me anything about that camera, or they did not want to..however, when i asked about a77, i saw a little smile on their face, while not saying anything..

3 years ago |In camera art filters are of little interest to me as I’d prefer to take the photo the way I’d like to and edit it using an art filter using my computer afterward.
I wonder how many feel the same way.
Richard
2 years ago |Remember most of these sell to people with far less interest in photography than you and I, people who are used to a P&S… “young kids, soccer moms” is usually is what’s said… but these people generally won’t want to edit photos afterwards, they’ll likely just be dumped on facebook.
alex
2 years ago |it depends for me, with wich camera i am busy, and under what circumstances.. when i am on the road with my dslr, i usually do postprocessing, but when i am on the road with a small and handy compact, it is sometimes nice to have the ability to use camera art filters.i also know people who sold their dslr, and started making pure art with the NEX system, or great macro-photo´s and so on. it all depends on what your needs are. sometimes i really don´t want to haul around with a heavy lump of camera and big lens around my shoulder, but instead i prefer then a tiny compact with 12mp, and the compacts of today, are surprisingly great performers. sensortechnology has become so good, that even compacts sometimes give better results than the dslr´s from 3 years ago. sensortechnology is going through a huge revolution at this moment.
Richard
2 years ago |Very much agree about modern compacts, I use a Samsung EX1 alongside my SLRs & you really can get a lot out of them, I wrote briefly about it a couple of weeks ago: http://www.rharris-images.net/2011/05/everyday-photographer.html
SonyA77
2 years ago |With small images displayed on the web you have never recently needed a dSLR, hell you can even do that with an iphone.
But to say that compacts get better results that an APS-C sensor is naive. An 8 year old 300D EASILY beats the crap out of a Samsung EX1 for dynamic, tonal range and colour sensitivity.
Richard
2 years ago |Did I say a compact easily beats and APS-C sensor? No I did not, so please don’t throw abuse around, it’s very immature.
Have you used an EX-1? I suspect not, then you’d know what the print quality is like, I’ve had great results at A3.
alex
2 years ago |i have made 30×45 prints from a 3 mp olympus, and they were the same sharp than 30×45 prints from a 10 mp dslr. besides that, how many people nowadays make mural sized prints from their pics, taken with dslr´s..? almost everything goes to the internet, like flickr, pbase and so on. the olympus is dead now, but my canon powershot really does a mighty fine job for me, next to my dslr´s..if you want to make billboards, buy a hasselblad with a phaseone back or something. it will rock your world! (and your pc) bigger isn´t always better..

2 years ago |Was I replying to you? No.
SonyA77
2 years ago |@Alex, there really is little point discussing it with you if you believe that 3mp 30×45 prints look sharp…
Richard
2 years ago |No one else mentioned a Samsung EX1 – so if you weren’t replying to me you couldn’t have read the posts very well, which doesn’t surprise me as you seem more interested in blurting crap out than anything else.
Zstan
2 years ago |Super steady shot. In body stabilisation.

2 years ago |It looks like being there. Yoy can see the familiar small hand with the writing on at its side. It would be major improvement above NEX-3 and NEX-5.

2 years ago |So, the NEX-C3 is made for the hollow-eyed super model market? I’d need to see pics of fat bearded guys holding it to convince me it’s a serious photographers tool
Wishmaster
2 years ago |It looks like the custom menu was expanded to fit 5 options instead of 3
Can’t wait to see this new firmware running on nex-5.
Chris
2 years ago |will they launch NEX 7 for REAL..??
coz im not even interested on nex 3c..what im waiting is nex 7..
..just still curious whether they will launch it for real or not..
Voohoo
2 years ago |I still can’t get over the slightly fuglier design of the C3. To be fair I’d have to see it in person before I can totally make up my mind. Still, I was expecting serious sexiness considering how nice the NEX-3/5 already look.
GH
2 years ago |I personally think the NEX-C3 is quite a bit better looking than the NEX-3.

Mark
2 years ago |Think they’ll update the VG10, or is that dead in the water?
sonyboy68
2 years ago |Yes Mark good question
I asked some days ago by private email to Andrea
if he got some rumours but he didn’t take time to
answer me.
admin
2 years ago |Hi Sorry if I didn’t answer you. Sometimes I am really busy and I get tons of emails. It happens that I miss to read some comments or user emails.
The answer is that it looks like Sony postponed the VG20. And I don’t know yet what will happen. Sony cannot produce many sensors because of the Japan earthquake desaster.
That’s why they delayed the new product announcement and that’s why the A77 and NEX-7 will be available ins tores (and only for limited quantities) by early October only.
