Fuji X-E1 has Sony viewfinder. Zeiss for NEX back in Stock in USA.

USA readers are struggling to find the Zeiss 24mm f/1.8 for NEX in Stock. The good news is that today fourteen lenses are in Stock for the normal price via Samys at Amazon (Click here).

The other news is that Fuji announced the X-E1 which features the Sony 2,36k dot OLED viewfinder (Click here to see the X-E1 at Amazon). While Dpreview wrote that this is “likely the same NEX-7 viewfinder” this may not be truth. The NEX-7 viewfinder has a contrast ratio of 3500:1 (Source: Digitalrev) while the Fuji X-E1 viewfinder has a higher contrast ratio of 5000:1 (Source: Cnet). This would mean that the X-E1 uses the same viewfinder of the upcoming NEX-6 and A99 cameras!

Super $370 discount on the NEX-7!

In one year I never saw any price drop on the NEX-7. And now there is that huge $370 price drop via BigValue on [shoplink 13670 ebay]eBay US (Click here)[/shoplink]. The normal price would be $1199 (here at Amazon). It’s available in limited quantity only. Almost exactly one year ago Sony launched the high quality [shoplink 8450]Zeiss 24mm f/1.8[/shoplink] E-mount lens. And at least in US that lens is still hard to find in Stock (and for the normal price!). You can now get a couple of them with Filter and Cleaner kit via [shoplink 13655 ebay]Beachcamera eBay (Click here)[/shoplink]. There is no way to get it for less. Right now the price is $1249 at Amazon (Click here).

Also today the NEX-5R didn’t manage to get significant preorders at Amazon (here is the ranking). My guess is that most of us are waiting for the new NEX-6 which features a 2,4k integrated viewfinder and for the rest the exactly same specs as the new NEX-5R.

Sony NEX-5R to ship from October 21. For now NEX-5N beats the NEX-5R in USA (pre)orders.

Don’t know how reliable that info is but the largest worldwide online store Amazon just notified that the NEX-5R will start to be shipped from October 21th (Click here ot visit the product page). Anyway, not many of us seems to have ordered the new camera as it didn’t even manage to reach the top hundred of the mirrorless camera (pre)order ranking (Click here). I guess most of us are waiting for the September 12th announcement when Sony will unveil the NEX-6!

The “older” NEX-5N is many times more sold than the newer NEX-5R because of the $100 discount at Amazon (Click here) and BHphoto(Click here).
