I am going to summarize the latest A77 I received from my readers. First of all the A77 is now in Stock at Amazon Japan and Sonystore Canada. And if you are from Aberdeen you will get the A77 body for GBP977.45 instead of GBP1149 (Thanks Kenneth for sending this).
Whatdigitalcamera (Click here) reviewed the A77: “Sony’s uncompromising approach to the Alpha A77 has produced a camera that not only matches some excellent competition, but beats them in a number of areas too“. The camera earns the “Gold Award“!
If you are already an A77 owner and you are experiencing some black out issues try this:
1. Turn off A77.
2. Take out battery.
3. Insert battery again.
4. Press these 3 buttons (Menu+Movie+Ael) simultaneously.
5. Turn on A77 and keep the 3 buttons pressed for 5 seconds. There will be a green spot “blinks” on the lower left corner of the LCD screen. Then “alpha logo” should show up again.
Here is the succes story of some who have tried this (page 5 of the thread): Dyxum forum.
Another SAR reader tested the Toshiba 95MB/s SDHC card on A77. See video on youtube here and here.
Reminder: The A77 1.03 firmware will be released within the next two weeks and fix most (if not all) the A77 isssues!

UPDATE: The Sony A77 manual is available in 17 laguages at support.sony-europe.com (Thanks B.)
To become popular I believe it’s necessary for any camera system to offer some cheap and good quality lenses. Something that makes you say: “Damn, I do not have a lot of money but by joining the system I can get that nice lens“. The most popular lens on Amazon Rankings (Click here) is the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II Camera Lens. The most popular lens of the Micro Four Thirds system is the Panasonic 20mm pancake. And looking at the NEX system I think that role can be played by the new Sony 50mm f/1.8 lens which is now available for preorder on Amazon (Click here). I only wish it would come in black too to fit on my future [shoplink 8454]NEX-7[/shoplink]!
I just checked my A77 preorder links and some stores do actually have them in Stock like Digitalrev and Warehouseexpress. The in Stock status is changing daily (and sometimes hourly) and it’s impossible for me to check every store in every country :) I give you the full Sonystore Amazon and other big stores links to the Sony A77. Check for yourself if it is available (Good Luck!):

UPDATE: There are seven new full size NEX-7 image samples you can download at Imaging Resource (Click here). Let me know what you think about the quality of those images!
Many of you are asking me when the NEX-7 will be available and where it is possible to preorder the cameras. It’s not as easy as you think. For example only a few European Sony Stores are offering preorders (See Sony France, Belgium, UK, Switzerland, Netherland). I was curious to see in how many countries Sony is selling their cameras via online shop. I made a list of countries with links to Sony Stores and also a couple of other big stores. It’s up to you to find the NEX-7 preorder option! P.S.: Didn’t know there is a Sony Store for Kazakhstan and Moldova too!
The new external Sony NEX-5n OLED viewfinder is in Stock at Sony Store (Click here). It will be soon in Stock at Amazon JP and [shoplink 8743 ebay]eBay (asian reseller)[/shoplink] too.
The Black NEX-5n body only is in Stock via Cameta at Amazon (Click here).
The SIlver NEX-5n with 18-55mm lens is in Stock via Shutterbag at Amazon (Click here).
